To clarify I was on WAR today in Low Level Roulette and needed on two items that I can use on my PLD which is next to be leveled and at 18 now. I had only gotten two items one you see in the photo and the other at bottom I passes since I had it. I am the type that never needs on anything I'm not planning to use for wearing or glamour (I will always ask first on this one.) I was then vote dismissed for doing this. I did report it but doubt anything will come of it.... I have never been vote dismissed on any jobs so this is a new one for me...

They didn't tank, they can't roll Need. End of story. :/ The dungeon will always be there, they can go again for the loot they want (hopefully as the correct class next time).

I mean, I can see why people would find it bad taste, since you're probably an i8999 WAR rolling need on a level 16 or so item, basically no tangible use for the gear and probably would have been better off greeding. So it's more of a "Why?" Not really against any rules but the 'unwritten rules.'

It's low level roulette. Those people were douches to kick you, and I hope the GMs give them the slap they deserve.

Loot system is working as intended - if they wanted those pieces of loot they should've come as that role - but that vote dismiss isn't. Had they not used such language the GMs might not have done anything about it - but given they DID use that language, it should fall under harassment. People are jerks, they'll continue to be jerks, and what's done is done. Don't let this one bad experience ruin your fun, move on and continue doing what you do.

It's not coil loot which is a harsher setting, but if your a higher level in a low level dungeon they will consider it stealing since you can easily get good gear while they survive on loot.

I usually ask if anyone needs it if I roll greed or ask people to pass if I need it. Loots a touchy subject even though people think its whatever I'll roll what I want.

You gotta be nice whether its people from your server or not and I'm sure people below this comment will say something else.

People can tell if your in roulette and you don't want to add fire to the flame.

This is the crux of the issue. Some consider it common courtesy to pass to lower levels if you're a high level in roulette, and there certainly are lower levels who expect that as well. Personally I don't take lower level loot if I'm on a high level job in roulette, but it's certainly not against the rules to. As was stated above, ultimately if they want the gear then they need to come on the job that can need on it. Do the work to earn the gear, etc.

Swearing at you and then vote dismissing you when it doesn't fit within any of the dismissal reasons, however, *is* against the rules and you should take not only this screenshot but their names and servers and include them your existing harassment report. As Eekiki says the GMs typically seem more appreciative if you can give them a lot to go on.

They exercised their right to use the vote-kick system to get rid of a player who they saw as taking advantage.

None of the above make any mention of taking advantage of the need button when a piece of gear drops, regardless of whether or not some consider it bad manners.

The thing about reporting harassment/cheating in a roulette group (and I'm speaking from experience here) is the GMs seem to have a hard time unless you can:

a.) give them exact times (always always have timestamps turned on in your chat logs)
b.) go on the lodestone to look up what server the people in your group were from (can be tough if someone's using a common name)
c.) paste chat log snippets in your ticket so the GMs can search the logs for exact text strings.

The GMs in my experience have been very appreciative when I give them a lot more information than I think they need. I still can't tell you whether anything ever came of either of the two non-RMT GM reports I've filed, but there it is.
