BRD DPS (And how to improve mine!)

To the Bards claiming 400+ on t8: are you all singing? I can never get close to 400.... 380 is my max in 110 with Rodsen, but I sing paeon 3 times and sometimes ballad once.

I did 412 last week, had to sing TP twice right after ballistic missile and after first AF. should be able to push close to 430 if i dont have to sing at all.

You really need HA bow to break 400.

I see, thanks. There's practically nothing I can do to increase my dps, except switch out my HA belt when I get Auroral, or use pots. Everything else is spot on (strifing to keep auto attacks, weaving CDs, keeping dots up at all times, etc).

Whats the rest of your gear like? Looked ya up, but you're on your summoner. Also do you have a Dragoon in your party?

Could be useful to know the gear of the 3 BRDs to understand why so much difference between you and 3rd.

It should be rather simple - this is a solo tank team. The under 300DPS bard could be a player who mains a tank and just nice have a i90 BRD. When you have more than 1 BRD in the team, especially if the gear (and possibly, skill) difference is significant, the lesser geared BRD will be the song whore while the higher geared (and usually main BRD) will go ahead and full DPS.

Rinchan is full i110 way long ago and should be full BiS by now, and his screenshot does show that he has a DRG (MNK DRG 3x BRD)

Good guess but no. Pic is from June. Was probably i105-106 at the time. Still only i108 w/ Rosenbogen (and way below acc cap for t8-9 without food and/or downgrading gear). That said, I've since switched to SMN main because we had no caster for a while. :P
