We have produced glazenuts/jute/broombrush for those who wanted them on request as well.

Ever since 2.3 we've been growing krakka roots and distributing those among our members, while working out how to crossbreed the other foods, thavnavarian onions, and minions. By now we have a steady supply of Krakka's, one garden has been prepped to produce onions, and there are several minions in the ground. Thavnavarian onions will be for those who have their chocobo's capped, minions will be distributed to all who want them.

Currently there are two people that actually plant and harvest things, and a handful of others that provide us with soil. Yes some of those are leaders. But I wasn't, so our FC leader made a 'gardener' rank so that I could harvest. If someone showed interest it would be no problem to give them the same rights, but so far everyone seems content with the current state of things.

    So yes. I like gardening.

Company masters *need* a way to communicate with the company members, if your company spans more than a couple of timezones, it's not practical to simply speak to everyone via the FC chat channel. The Company Board is a miniscule message, barely enough for reminders, never mind a communication from leadership to membership. Even the Moogle mail is only marginally better, but for that to work you have to send many, many messages to ensure you hit all the members - even assuming that you can actually friend all of them. I mean, sure you can talk to whoever is online, but there is zero way to communicate with those offline.

Please can you implement some kind of company bulletin board where company masters and officer can post messages with a decent length (>2000 characters), this would ideally be somewhere in the Company House, and members would receve a notification when there are company messages waiting to be read.

Alternately, may we please have an extension to the Moogle mail that allows company masters (and designated officers) to select a Moogle Mail address like "All Company Members" so that we can at least use the Moogle mail system to contact members whether or not we are on their friends list. A longer message would be nice as the length of a Moogle mail is little better than the insanely short Company board.

And before anyone says PS3 limitations or something like that as some kind of excuse for the stupidly short messages we can send in this game, I led my NekomimisFTW! guild in White Knight Chronicles a PS3 based online RPG. That game allowed guild leaders and others to mail the entire guild membership and messages were not limited to 200 characters - in fact I think the message size was in the region of 32K characters, and all handled on the server side.

Seriously though, the FC system is really nice, but the inability to communicate with ALL members is a glaring omission IMHO.
This X1000. Feels like pulling teeth to get our members to use our forums consistently, and right now that is the ONLY way we have to communicate with everyone. We've talked amongst ourselves about this exact same thing. We need something in game where we can post communications to all our members that is more than a measly message on the Company Board.

Something I learnt just a few weeks ago is that you can filter the company activity log to only show certain types of activities.

It's a drop down menu above the activity log that's set to "All" by default but there's a whole range of categories it'll filter it by.

I filter it to chocobo related things (near the bottom of the list, possibly the very last, don't remember off the top of my head) when I want to find out who to thank for feeding my bird. Others filter it to just show gardening or just show actions or whatever they need.

It's a good way to get away from all the gardening and bird feeding spam too.

As a quality of life adjustment, in patch 2.38 we’ll be making a change so that you will receive a warning message if you try and feed a Thavnairian onion to a chocobo that does not meet the requirements to increase their rank cap.

I wish I knew this 48 hours ago. GM already rejected my item restoration, and there isn't any choco feed that induces vomiting.

I'm in a 10 man FC and only five of us are into chocobo raising and even us five run out of krakka roots every now and then. Mind you, we have a medium house with 2 patches.

We need planter pots for personal chambers, is all. Let people grow their own krakka roots and chococolour snacks in their own rooms.

What I'd like to see is for there being able to assign permissions to each rank to what garden patch they have... thus we could have 1 patch for all our members to enjoy it... one for experimentation/neweset greatest and one for growing whatever is planned to grow.

I would also like to second etc... the idea for allowing us in room planting... 3 plants I think should be the limit there. And it should either be a window planter(line) or a freestanding(triangle) or a half partition planter(line).

I think something like this would be good:

    Big enough for indoor crossbreed

You can filter it yes, to make it easily readible. However, the overall number of entries into the log remains unchanged. And with gardening, chocobo raising, etc. Being active. This means that e.g. member joining / leaving logs are scrapped within a day in my guild.

As our policy is for every member to apply by our website prior to an ingame invitation, this is no issue for people joining. However, in case someone decides to leave during a day I can't log in? I'll completely miss that event. It would make much more sense if you could see e.g. the previous 100 log items from a specific filter instead.

Something else in terms of FC management what really bugs me is the ingame application system. Right now you have 2 options. Open or closed. That's it. You cannot specify. In practise however this is often not how guilds work. You may be open to new social members, but have no free raiding slots. You may be open for raiders, but only have a slot for e.g. a BLM. You should be able to specify for which sort of players the recruitment is open. Similar to as to how the party finder allows you to set it up.

Secondly, "open" is a very relative term. As our FC for one always accepts new social members, however we do require people to sign up on our guild site and fill an in application. If only just for future communication purposes, shielded of TS details, calendar functionality, etc. This requirement is also something we communicate in our recruitment messages ingame and on forums. Quite a lot of people though apply ingame directly, without reading a recruitment message but simply as they noticed our tag and played with a few friendly people.

As it stands right now, there's often a problem we run in to. Dealing with these applications. There's the option to accept or decline, that's it. There's no option for direct communication. So all left to do is.... wait. Wait for the person to log on and /tell them. It's a cumbersome process, and shouldn't have to be. Several sollutions could be:

    - Allow for FC members of the guild someone applied to to send messages by Moogle.
    - Give the option to add a response to an ingame application, which will be delivered by Moogle, or delivered in similar fashion as a support ticket reply.

Lastly what is currently also lacking in terms of FC management is the ability to add notes to members. A feature which could be used e.g. to mark names onto alt characters. With more and more alts being created in my guild over the past few months now content is running thin, it easily becomes confusing to track who is who. Without needing to resort to out-of-game options again.
