it seems like there's no point in PvPing, looks like hunting is the new cool thing.

Hunt is just a rush, when it is over, it is over.

If you came to ffxiv for the pvp you might as well leave. Their focus has always been on PvE. Pvp is just extra stuff to do that most people couldnt care less about. Sure they should make the rewards more great for more interest in it. I wouldn't mind at level 40 for more mounts. I already got my 100 wins for the horse and I'm not switching to any other go to do that because they always seem to lose and I love playing with my friends.

Don't be so sure. The lead developer is a big fan of PvP and is adamant that it be a big part of this game. I wouldn't write it off as a mere side dish just yet.
