That's weird. You somehow read "everyone" yet I can't seem to find where I wrote that in that quote of mine you posted. Strange things are happening in these forums guys. Hide yer kids, hide yer wives. Trust no one.

Raiders are still going to raid. I don't know where OP comes off as people not raiding.
Honestly, what they should have done is not make the ToS items upgradable, they should have kept them as the 2nd best. I'm a casual, I don't do Coils, don't care for them. I'm not entitled nor need the same if not better gear than those that waste their lives on raiding junk.
They said they wanted Coil to be relevant but then they go and pull this off? The Dev team is failing hard here and I hope they get their shit together cause if I was still a basement dweller I'd be raging too.

There will be no escape.

I'm really not trying to discredit Coil2 winners, as I've never even attempted T6 so I can't speak from experience. However, I have a pair of eyes, friends with experience, and good enough common sense to know that if Coil was such a HUGE uber challenge, there wouldn't be nearly so many people walking around in Coil2 gear.
You mean a group of random people can't beat something that your supposed to do with an organized group?!?!?!?!?!?! OH NO! /points CT. There's the pug content.
Rydia... It isn't. This is the breakdown of all the reasons I've seen 6/7/8 wipe (haven't done 9. Group broke up for the reasons I'll mention and I have't bothered to get a new one since ILVL 110 FOR EVERYONE!!)
T6
1. "I have this vine connecting me to someone else. I better not move"
2. "I have this yellow dot over my head. I should just stand here and get eaten"
3. "The boss is casting the "simon says stop" ability? Better run circles and cast"
Any group who makes it past these simple mechanics generally wins after a few exposures to the final phase (as expected people panic when the new mechanics start the 1st few times and die horribly)
T7
1. "I have this voice debuff. I should continue attacking and let it hit the melee/tank. (5-9 seconds to decide this)
2. "I have this voice debuff. I should aim it at anyone else besides the melee/tank. (5-9 seconds to decide this)
3. "I have this shriek debuff. I should stand here and continue dpsing. No reason to run to that GIANT STONE CYCLOPS.
4. "I'm a dps at ranged from the boss. I should go give one of my other dps friends a hug so we get double fireballed and both die"
5. "I'm a healer who's only job besides keeping people alive through this minimal ae dmg fight is to shoot my voice at the giant cyclops. I think I'll aim it off this way instead"
6. "I'm a healer who's only job besides keeping people alive through this minimal ae dmg fight is to shoot my voice at the giant cyclops. I think I'll miss the cyclops that walks 2 mph completely while being at point blank range"
Petrifaction isn't generally too much of an issue.
T8
1. "I'll just stand in this telegraphed mechanic that comes at perfectly predictable and likely announced times. No reason to move"
2. "I'll just spam 1 attack the whole fight or do something else to somehow accomplish doing 200-250 dps in full ilvl 100+ gear. DPS isn't important"
^ really about sums T8 up.

Turn 4 is the best.T6

Turn 4
1. Tank won't use CDs on Raven's Beak
2. Healers don't Stoneskin and/or Adlo before Raven's Beak
3. No tank swap on Raven's Beak
4. Stand near meteors when they fall
5. Stand near each other during meteor stream
6. Stand in Lunar Dynamo
7. Stand near boss after she jumps
8. Stand near the tank after Raven's Beak
9. Stand near the tank after jump
10. Stand in front of a golem that slaps you in the face
11. Didn't pre-mitigate Mega-flare
12. Ate Heaven's Fall
13. Didn't kill dragon
14. Didn't remove debuff
15. Ate Heaven's Fall
16. Ate anything from phase 1
17. Didn't stack properly on Fire/Ice buff
There's more but I figured after 17, one would get the idea. Many places to easily wipe in the last turn, it's pretty neat!
Should be obvious the OP belongs to the category of people who hate MMOs, but have a sickness that drive them to play them even though they hate them, because at the end there is a carrot that may allow them to say "Look at me, I have a carrot!".
Personally I want to try a MMO that hands you all the stuff when you log in, and then I can enjoy the content using the gear. Kind of like playing soccer without having to grind for a ball and shout for a team.

Focus is pretty tough. It's hard to do it for an extended amount of time (more than 2 hours) but when you go in fresh and the fight is pretty much already done for you (because YouTube), it just ends up being execution. Not to say execution is something that is really easy, but once you've got it...you've got it.
This still exists, it's called High Allagan. No one cares that they can get the same level gear. The point is that it creates an illusion that the player completed certain things, so you expect a certain level of play. If you set your PF for item level 105, shall we say, you would expect to get some people who know their way around and have beaten some of the harder fights.
Side note: I wonder how many of the raiders that are complaining about casuals getting i110 completed their raids without a guide.
