Hunt pulling - Finding and Losing your prey and getting reported for it.

its pretty funny to see all these ppl bashing mr happy... you guys obviously arent watching his stream.. on multiple occasions he states to the stream he is no one you should be bowing down to or praising.... he does not want you to hold fates or hunts for him.. he wants no special treatment... and he certainly doesnt use cheats... if you watch his streams you would know... you would know that a friend of the stream that lives in japan translated the jp hunt hints and found out that the NA hints were garbage and no help at all... you can easily do research and find out that all the hunts have had their spawn conditions and times figured out and its easy to determine when and where a hunt can spawn... if someone is saying they are holding a hunt for mrhappy its not cause he asked them to... pls know what you are talking about before you try and drag a good and helpful persons name through the mud cause you didnt get full credit on a hunt

I was in FC treasure hunt party yesterday and we got NM spawn right in the middle of our party. So we killed it like super fast without waiting but still when it was dead there were 3times more people standing at it than couple of minutes ago.
I have killed only 3 NM yet because it doesn't seem time efficient to camp them but this one was the first where I got those 20 seals - others were 1 and 3.

What I was talking about - if you have 8 people party and see NM then just kill it without shouting to get full credit because 1 min after you spotted NM the number of players attacking it will triple anyway.

One of my FC-mates is part of a Hunting LS. If the LS (or just himself) sees an elite mark up, he calls to his FC mates before he announces in the area's Shout channel. It's sad that it's come to this, but I'm not really that surprised. Because of the hostility that these hunts have generated, I have given up on them altogether. I might decide to do them should their mechanics be changed but until then, no. Just... no.

my best opinion to fight the horde SE make it so that if the horde arrives and pulls to reset the mob it causes it to despawn and double the respawn time randomly. Will stop them from resetting the mob because it would cause the hunt to despawn. Also as painful as this is even original party cant get reward, even if we think they should, because then the horde would use that tactic for easy rewards. But if you make resetting a punishment it would happen less except for trolls harassing and makes it easier to report.

Provoke does not work on hunt mobs. Find one, provoke it, and look at the floating combat text that says Provoke "has no effect". Maybe you had a mob stolen from you, and that's unfortunate.
Maybe a tank took it off of you from out-aggroing you, and that's unfortunate. You have every right to complain, but as soon as someone says that a tank provoked off of them, I immediately have no confidence in what they are saying because I already know that at least part of what they are saying isn't true. Please stop saying it. It's just not true.

Yup - If we take those words as truth (hopefully you got snapshots huh), then Mr. Happy's reputation just got a blow on it's jaw. He's no god on Eorzea. (nor is anyone)

He's trying to be helpful to the community by giving guides that takes 2 times as much as other ones to watch.

Mr. Happy might use more words to explain tactics for certain content, but i prefer watching his video guides over all the others. I dislike video guides that start with “This boss is *censored* easy, so i’m not going to explain phase [insert random phase here].” and swear a lot during the explanation.

Thanks to Mr. Happy’s detailed explanation, me and my static were able to understand certain mechanics and adjust the strategies to something that worked for me and my static.

So, every time i see Mr. Happy on Sargatanas, i /wave and take a /bow in respect for sharing his experience in those video guides.

I would report that provoke for sure, even If I am a Tank as well: poor attitudes or exploiting the system, that ain't in my book.

The Horde you mention, we have it on all servers: top FCs are spreading over all maps, and FC chat is their friend. Very easy.

I agree with you on this. If you attack the mob, then it’s yours. Period.

I’ve been on the other side of the “argument” when the patch was just released. I was trying to get Naul for my weekly Mark, but it was dead before i managed to reach the spawning location. At that time, i too was frustrated that people killed it several times in a row before waiting till everyone in the area was there.

But… After that, i started thinking. There was no way you could wait till everyone was there and still land a hit before it dies a horrible death. It was just me letting my frustration do the “talking”, so i stepped back and stopped doing the Weekly hunts. It just not worth it to fight over it.

But now… It has run completely out of hand. I hear the name calling over shout every single day, stories about the Hunt Marks being pulled away from a group so that it will reset, etc and i’m glad that i’m not taking part in it anymore. It’s just not worth it. It’s just a game.

Its rather ironic the hunters are the ones getting hunted and pitchforked by fellow hunters.
Their cussing dps is off the charts and is in no need of a parser to tell you how well they are doing.

Only thing I gathered from OP's message.. still dislike youtube/twitch fanboys. So glad I don't run across that issue of the horde bowing down to one sole person.. I'd rather have the mass chaos that anyone who gets there could be the one who doesn't wait or uses the line "Controller died" or "auto run".

I just don't understand people who feel they have a right to get a full reward from a hunt mark they didn't find. In general, I think the person / group who found the target should make the pull and get the full reward, at least. I support people pulling a mark as soon as they see it and their group gets there, then shouting and letting others know so they can get there if they're close enough.

Well I was hunting sunday morning... actually got a few A and even a few S ranks. But I mostly do it by randomly running around(though some zones I already know probably most mark spots). I also help people I run across by healing them and such.

But I will only announce the marks to FC and one LS where a few smaller FCs have friends together. Waited at an A rank for 15 minutes one to get enough people to get there... mostly randoms. I just strated inviting until I had a full party. Then somone pulled and we let lose.

Similar for a B rank at one point... yound it and a few minutes after another one found it and his group shows up. I waitid for them to buff then pulled. A bit of common curtesy between us with no words got all of us the full rewards.
