Probably isn't sleeping for a couple of good reasons. Might be understaffed and deadlines. If you needed all this work done and you had an ultimate deadline on when all of these changes should be implemented (which is probably a set deadline on when they are porting to PS3) you'd stay up til 2-3am working too. Your career depends on it.

He also had golden week last month. Maybe to calm people down he should promise to take at least 1 day off a month? lol

Agreed, Sleep psychosis (dementia-like insanity caused by exreme sleep deprivation) would not be beneficicial to either the devs, or the community as a whole. From what I understand, exaustion seems to be a regular work-related illness in Japan. Wasn't there a Toyota engineer a few years back who DIED from overwork? On that note, I've stayed awake for four days straight before, it's not fun, you're not running on all cylinders, you're basically a zombie, and nobody likes being around zombies.

So yeah, Yoshi, get some Z's dude. We'll forgive you for being human.

How in the hell do you know that he's less productive? There are people that feel fine after 2 or 3 hours of sleep. Just because a majority of people need more than that doesn't mean that there aren't people that need less than that.

Honestly the way Seif always acts is a bit lame. Every single post he makes has nothing positive or worth reading. I understand criticism, but every post I've read from him just bleeds cynicism. Your last sentence is a joke, they're are acting more responsibly, they're listening to the players and just about implementing everything they want.

That's pretty ignorant... it's not about feeling fine... the human body is optimal with a set number of hours of sleep(Roughly 7-9 hours)... that hard to understand? Yoshi isn't getting his full potential... You may be "Fine" with that low amount of sleep but you'll be nowhere near the top of your game(no pun intended) by getting the amount of sleep he does... Some peoples lack of knowledge of the human body is astounding!!! This is the information age yet there's so many ignorant people, it's sad. He's not unique or super human, he's just human like the rest of us >.<

(Not to mention he's pumped full of nicotine and caffeine, those have their own effects!) Defend his actions all you want people, just makes you look like more of a hick haha.

Oh and Just wanted to finish by saying have nothing against Yoshi, just laying down facts to these people who assume everything rather than being knowledgeable and having factual information!!!

This is a nice sentiment, but Yoshi is a grown man, can we not just trust him to take care of himself? I've never gotten the slightest impression from him that he is fishing for pity or sympathy. I realize you have good intentions, and I like and care about Yoshi's well being as much as the next guy, but if I were him I would almost consider this insulting and patronizing in a way.

If he is being locked in-doors everyday and forced to answer each email and spend all night perusing and posting in the forums before he allowed a lick of sleep, then yes we do need to petition his upper management lol. But I feel he is just doing it out of his gamer spirit and overall dedication to XIV. He knew well what he was signing up for and has put every caffeinated ounce of himself into staying true to this great undertaking and commitment, and for this I only respect him!
