I hope for your sake that this is a horribly poor attempt at trolling.

This is a PC game first and foremost so any update will be made for PC and ported to console. Without PC, you won't have a game to play. Also PC players don't cheat as much as you think. It's just the better platform for playing the game at a higher level and while I am sure many people look like they are cheating they are just playing at a normal level. But on a PC and far better placed to actually play the game. Secondly the consoles are not void of cheating, they are basically PC's with specific and static hardware configurations with one OS. Which actually makes it a lot easier for hacks and cheat to be developed as there's little variation and there for little need to worry about conflicts and other forms of security beyond what's already there.

Third and finally the last post I will make. You need to actually put effort in and understand the games mechanics, otherwise you run the risk of looking like a fool.

1: this game would not exist if it wasn't for us Legacy Players who actually stuck around for 1.0 onward
2: like Jin said console players can also cheat and hack, i'm not saying PC players don't cheat cause there are some that do but not all
3: only cause you cant do something yourself doesn't mean its the PC Players fault, sorry for your lack of skill in a game you obviously don't have.

Since the bulk of the recent content has all but been invalidated by PC players using cheating programs, it has become painfully clear that the lack of limitations on the PC client actually poses a risk of destroying future content updates as well. The console versions, which by their nature don't allow for such programs to be used and afford SE a greater level of control and security, should be the only platforms receiving future content updates after 2.3. PC players could maybe get a free account upgrade to the console versions, and then SE can drop PC support entirely after 3.0.

Its the superior solution.

This will never happen, Xiv would shut down within 6 months or less of the effective date of patch.

A platform should be dropped because of "lack" of limitations? Oh boy.
