There is just a chance that particular GM didn't fully understand what happened due to one reason or another. I've reported plenty of people abusing kick for stupid reasons like this and was told they were being investigated. It states right on the window for kicking someone that abusing it is an actionable offense.

maybe your such a bad healer that the GM thought you were harassing them? Thus kicking for harassment is ok?

The kick was for "offline", and I was apparently a good enough healer to take the party to the win when I re-joined them. But as I keep saying, this is not about my case. What I would like to be addressed is this contradiction between Yoshida's recommendation to report kick abusers, and the Terms of Service saying nothing about "kicking for a different reason than the chosen one in the kick window" being a violation. The two stances are claiming two different things, and I am a little confused about it.

It's okay you don't have to reply to that. A good tank would not have dropped that fast. I wish I had more info but I don't think the fault is yours so you have no reason to explain.

you know what will bring attention if it happened again? start making a party of 3 friends, if you get a 4th with an atma wep, right before the last boss, kick for "offline".

Thank you for contacting FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn In-game support.

We understand the impact that is caused after being removed from a duty finder group. However, please be aware that the Game Masters will be unable to take action if a group member has been removed due to a player dispute, or if the game style differs (I.e. skipping in-game cutscenes, disagreement on using specific boss encounter tactics, equipment deemed not high enough, etc.),

To prevent such incidents from occurring we advise to speak with the group when joining a new group to discuss any specifics that need to be addressed
use the: It was a No Atma wep run

I'd just re-file the ticket. Just like in a store or restaurant, if you feel strongly enough to bring up the issue to enough people, eventually the higher-ups will notice or the regular workers will pass you on to the higher-ups.

I'm not saying doing this for every little thing is right, but having worked in retail and the food service industry, I know it usually works.

Of course, this is assuming GMs have a manager or supervisor or something equivalent.

Its actually SE's fault, for not having more Kick-Vote reasons available.
Dont understand me wrong, im fully aware that u did nothing wrong, since no one should try a speedrun in Aurumn Vale.

But you are stating that no one ever should be kicked, except if its for at least one of the "given" reasons available.
This is just like if u would say, you should never kick someone pulling mobs before the tank, and stuff u simply dont do, the whole dungeon,
but im pretty sure in this case you would call it "Harassment", even trough, lets be honest, its not.

Also i see a big problem with this system, atleast 2 Members of your party agreed to kick you,
why should anyone be punished, if the majority of your group decided, to not want to do this dungeon, along with you anymore?

A while ago, I was part of a heated debate about the use of the kick function during main scenario roulette to remove people who wanted to watch the cut scenes during the actual duty instead of watching them using the "The Unending Journey" furnishing in the inn. That argument was ended by a response from one of the mods on this forum. It's in my signature if you want to read it.

To be frank, OP this has happened to me once. The way I handled it was I just queued up for a new duty and that was that. I did not jump on the forums and talk about how it victimized me. I would advise you look at it as a group of jerks giving you the privilege of not having to be with them any longer and just have fun. A vote kick is not the end of the world.

Also, without the vote kick, there would be far worse jerks in this game.

The TOS/TOU may not be out-of-date so much as some clarification is needed. In my eyes, choosing to kick someone because they were offline, when they clearly were not, is considered an abuse of the vote-to-kick feature. But, technically, as is written in the TOS, voting someone for being offline isn't an abuse of the system.

I LIKE the fence. I get 2 groups to laugh at then.

Duty Finder IS pugging, and to be coherent on how PUGs works, on DF duties votekick needs be disabled because on PUG you can find all and everything, and if you don't agree on that, you don't have to go DF in first place.

If you find jerks, bad players, afk people, force-dc or really dc mates and so on, your only option must be leave and redo a new PUG, feeling to be more lucky. Leave makes you penalized? Well, bad luck is bad luck, you know.

I may have stated harsh, but really, PUGs are like that.
