    You say in your title it's not working as intended. Is it really not working as intended or is it not working as you want it to? If it's not working as intended then please tell me what SE's intentions were for The Hunt. SE's intentions please and not your own.

    Remove hunts? But the problem is not the system is a hand full of users.I have no issues with the system.

    I log in , find a mark , kill it and move to the next one. Isn't that what people are meant to be doing?

    Hunts are working as intended, sans the cheating. Though the cheating is just the obvious result of putting things that everyone wants into content that can be done infinitely. You want to fix hunts? Gut the rewards and make it a vanity/diversion content . But people will never ask for that, even the casual players, because they know that this is their one-shot opportunity at unlimited handouts for being incapable of clearing Coil. Likewise the end-game players enjoy the opportunity to infinitely gear themselves and their alts up, it's content that's too popular but only because it's so ridiculously overweighted in terms of reward.

    It is working as intended. I just think a lot of players, XI players especially, forget how popular this game is, resulting in more people in the open world. This is how the game is going to be unless you hide content behind instances.

    The other point making it worse than the XI NM is the number of people running after this mobs, the HNM on FFXI was regulary camped by 3-4 LS. Compare this 4 LS to a whole server...

    Exactly. Everyone asked for this. Every other MMO I've played that had this feature has had "campers" and "zerg kills" and all other forms of complaints. Hate to say it, but I'd argue the system is working as intended, it's just not how ~you~ want it to work.

    I have no problems with the core system. I have problems with peoples cheating to have an unfair advantage over others.

    If it something that needs to be overhauled, it doesn't need to be taken out of the game. It can stay in there and when they have a fix to the issue, update the game as such.

    Sorry but name me a game where you can get end game gear where the mob which drops said gear dies in less than a minute. Afaik, the games you are talking about are old school games, and these usually had some claim system, and as horrible as it was, its at least better than the mess than it is now. Not to mention these usually required full raid groups that are geared to attempt it and they had a low drop rate of really powerful items and sometimes these bosses would drop no gear at all. Not the entire server running over to kill something the second it spawns. That is the big difference.

    Systems not broken. Get in a hunt linkshell, get in a party (FULL 8 MAN) and start farming. Since patch day, I have gotten 11 blood splatter mark logs, killed over 200 rank B's, 150 rank A's, and around 10 S rank mobs. It is just a matter of finding active people to help look for hunts instead of sitting around complaining about that hunt you just barely made it to.

    PS. Don't skip B ranks, they really do add up in the long run.
