I regularly encounter the "x primal fight is easy" in duty finder which speaks volumes about the kinds of people we're dealing with. They are essentially denying reality in a vain attempt to stroke their own egos. Not a single EX fight qualifies as easy. All of them require several deaths in the process of mastering. I don't mean "you may die in the process of mastering the fight." I mean people literally will ALWAYS die in the process of learning it.

DF easy primal EX kills do not exist, and the only "noobs", as they like to dub those who are still learning, are the ones who walk in thinking they are getting a free lunch.

Noob does pertain to a person learning, yes!

Wanted to comment on your assessment of EX Primals not being "Easy" though. I could do Leviathan Ex in my sleep on a tank, main or off, (He's the only one I consider a complete joke of a fight when tanking.) and I've only successfully cleared it twice with DF groups. It depends on the class/job going into the fight in terms of difficulty. Ifrit is hell on healers, Garuda is hell on tanks, Titan is just hell.

Toxic community is a divide really. Some people are rude to ignorant people, and some people are rude to people who don't know the fights, for example. It goes both ways, and everyone does it once in a while.

All in all. I just think Hunts are just really opening the community's eyes to how selfish a WoW-based combat system can be. So we're getting like a million "I hate people" threads.

How's the combat system to blame? Not refuting, just interested on why you think so. I'd say it's more the DF system.

I can definitely vouch that its become toxic... No one cares to help out each other, as soon as a patch releases you see everyone racing each other around. If you ask a question in shout, more likely you'll get an answer with misinformation or other players trolling.

What people don't understand is that to get the best experience out of an mmo is to actually have a community. Mmos aren't there for solo play and then show your big prick by abusing other players.

I have come to the forums since the release of the latest patch to see if I can understand better certain mechanics of the game... Nope. All i see is bickering, fighting, racing and more player abuse.

Which is sad, because a game shouldn't basically become 'serious business' or a place which you receive player abuse for being new at the game or endgame content.

In all seriousness? Play the game with a chill pill. And if you need to be verbally abusive to other players maybe its time to take a break.

It's stupid, and a buzzword. You will meet annoying/rude/evil people everywhere in life. You don't go around calling them toxic, do you? Just blacklist them/leave the duty/deal with it.

One thing I have learned above all else is that every single community ever is only as bad as the members in that community. It's not really the game's fault that the community is bad. It's the people in the community that either have this virulent, toxic behavior, get offended by said behavior and respond in kind, or completely ignore said behavior.

There are some really good, awesome people in the community, but as a whole, if we want the community to not be toxic, we have to be the ones to tell people that exhibiting toxic behavior isn't cool. The devs aren't really going to do much of anything in regards to harassment unless it's serious enough (i.e. stalking), so it's ultimately up to us to police our own behavior, but no one's really willing to do that, so you end up getting a community filled with people who feel perfectly fine being terrible people without fear of being called out on it.

Actually we do, and have for decades. Toxic people and communities is not a new concept.
