fishers should meld i70 accessories to get 5g/5p. those new accessories are only i50 so 4/4 cap

looks like the dodore belt is better than raptorskin survivor belt for fisher if you can meld more to it.
dodore survival belt HQ base is +16p, add +4g and +3p will make it 19p and 4g capped
raptorskin survival belt HQ base is +14p, add +3g and +2p only which is 16p and 3g capped

The new DoL melds are actually surprisingly cheap given pre-patch materia costs on my server. Here are my optimal melds with the numbers I have to work with:

Rose Gold Earrings of Gathering: Grasp 4, Guerdon 2, Grasp 2, Grasp 2, Guile 2 (average cost on my server: 147,527)
Dodore Choker: Grasp 4, Guerdon 2, Grasp 2, Grasp 2, Guile 2 (average cost on my server: 147,527)

Dodore Survival Belt: Guerdon 2, Grasp 2, Grasp 2, Guile 1 (average cost on my server: 35,660)
Dodore Ring: Guerdon 2, Grasp 2, Grasp 2, Guile 1 (average cost on my server: 35,660)

Total average cost on my server: ~400,000
Money I spent melding the items that are being replaced: ~380,000

Has anyone tried melding the new i90 accessories for fishing?? I'm planning on doing this but haven't had a chance yet, trying to see what new stat caps are and if this is even something that makes sense!

He said for fishing. Fishers have 0 use for GP.

All the accessories have is base GP (well the dodore ring has like 1 perc). The higher the ilvl of an item the higher the stats you can meld on it. The DoL accessories are i55, but DoW/M meldable accessories are i70 and i90 so you can put more Gather and Perc on them than you can the DoL. So for people only interested in Fishing, or those who want to get the max for fishing apart from the other gather classes, you can meld a second set of accessories without worrying about GP.

That's not what he's talking about at all.

The new i90 mastercraft rings are DoW/DoM only, so you can't use them as a fisher to begin with.

Ahh thanks for letting me know! Just got 90% of the materials for a full set of jewelry and now I'm really glad I didn't start melding.
