Dye-able AF Disappointment.

So I get home from work, download the update, get a few quests (still so much to do). What I was really looking forward to though was getting my AF dyed and using it for glamour.

Well no, they couldn't just do what they did with Darklight and make it able to be dyed from the get go. Instead I come to find that I need to have 7 Augmentation items crafted by an Alchemist. That alone isn't really the problem, I can find an Alchemist friend that can maybe do it for free or a small tip. The problem's getting all the materials to craft all 7.

The materials are stupid expensive and in low supply. Joy.

Couldn't just be something simple, nooo. It's not like we are actually going to be wearing the actual gear. Why the hell would you make simple glamour gear so damned expensive and hard to obtain? I mean really? Wtf?

While I am all for having to grind out gear and what not (I mean, really..this IS an MMO..), I don't think they are handling the glamour system that well. Glamour is just fluff, it shouldn't cost you a small fortune to simply dye gear, or purchase level 1 vanity gear, or be needlessly convoluted (5 different prism levels..really?).
