No one here is suggesting that the mounts just be handed out, that every Primal kill should yield a mount, we are offering to work for it. How would earning it by doing fifty, hundred, maybe more kills, be any less deserving than say...

You know, I was doing lev ex and got the kill pre guides or whatever, was in a learning group that were hammering our heads against the new content, awesome group of people that meshed in the end to get the kill, once we did, we went into farm mode, the mount dropped on this point, this was very early days, so hate to break it do you, the group did a damn good job to earn that drop appearing in the first place.

I actually not overly fussed about the special feel or if others dont have it, just saying you guys lack patience, Ive had my share of rare mount stories back in WOW, this doesnt bother me, was a reward for doing the content as we did it at the time.

I still laugh at the people who complain about drop rates, and that they are soooo low. And whatever.

    1/1497966
    1/2330169

    See those numbers?

That's the drop chance of just 2 of the rare weapons in a game I used to play, phantasy star online. Those are 2 of the ones I pulled up quick. There are multiple 1/x(million) and 1/x(hundred thousands)

And to top it off some of those drop rates are after getting a rare form of a mob to spawn while running a map. So like 1/5000 chance of rare mob spawn, then 1/500000 chance for special weapon to drop. I laugh because these drop rates from ffxiv are nothing to what I've grown up on. You children complain way too much. And you even have it easy XD

I completely agree. At first, there was just the white Unicorn, and I was okay with that. Then they added Nightmare, and I was still okay with it even though I thought it looked bad. Then they added all these other horses, that not only glow, but come in nearly every color of the rainbow and have constant particle effects (this looks exceptionally bad) on their feet at all times for no apparent reason. I'm going to be completely honest here, those horses are a total eyesore, and I'm sorry to say that. The only reason I want them is for the sake of completion. I would never actually want to ride one.

Why are there even horses in this game in the first place? When has Final Fantasy ever been known to have horses? When has ANYONE in Final Fantasy ever used a horse over a chocobo other than Odin? Who even wanted horses in this game? Can we get rid of them, please? I don't mind keeping the Unicorn because it actually looks nice, but other than that, the rest of the could go and I don't think anything of value would be lost.

Just because that's how it used to be done, doesn't mean that it's right. Picture related.

Of course it has. How do I know? Because people are so butt hurt and want to play an MMO without the MMO grind.

It's similar to the lottery. (for you kiddies over 18).

I work for a nice gas station so I can give exact numbers on this.

Odds of winning the jackpot on the powerball 1:175,223,510

    That's for winning the jackpot.

So say guy A is 55 years old, has been playing for 30 years. 2 chances a week to win.

That's 53 weeks a year, that's 106 chances per year. 3180(ish) chances to win. Hasn't one once. Maybe 50-100 here and there, but nothing big (aka other drops that you get over and over) oh and this is if he only buys 2 tickets a week, once for each drawing.

Guy B. 20 year old. Just decided to take a Crack at it a few times. Say he played 20 times, and wins.

You know what? Too bad. So sad. What's the 55 year old guy gonna do? Keep playing, hoping one day hell win big.

From the looks of the world, game world, and rl, it seems to be going pretty right. So it should stay the same.

This image is actually far more fitting to the trend of people being unable to accept new strategies.

"Hey, can we pull the boss to the north instead of the south?"
    "No!"
    "Why not?"
"Because its not done like that!"
    "But its better this way!"
"But no one does that! Just stop it! You're weird!"

We're not all equal, and you don't get a little star sticker just for trying all the time, and yes, some people are more special than others because hey can do things others can't or win things others don't have. Suck it up, and wait for your drop. Too hard? Move along.

Tired of being nice about it but children cry wayyyyy to much and *most* have been pampered and Giving everything they want from mommy or daddy because "gimmi gimmi" and it needs to stop.
Isn't it a bit hypocritical to make sweeping generalizations about other people being entitled children when you're acting like one yourself?

How do you equate RNG to "too hard" for some people? How does that in any way make sense? What exactly is challenging about getting lucky? Please explain it to me so that I can understand.

Also, I hate to break it to you, but we aren't all equal in real life either. This is a game and is intended to be an escape from real life. Why bring over one of the negative aspects of the real world? Why do you care if other people are equal to you? Why do you need to feel superior to others by dangling a carrot in front of them that you yourself didn't even truly "earn"? Why is your happiness considered more important than that of others?

    Is this you?
