A couple month ago i got RMT spam on a daily basis and had my Blacklist filled, deleted the (deleted) here and there, so i can fill it up again. In the last 2 month i got maybe a total of ... 20ish tells. i had 2 in the last 4 days. I don't know about you, but that seems like a huge decrease to me.These numbers could be randomized for all the difference it appears to make in-game. These waves never coincide with an increase or decrease in the amount of RMT spam I receive, which has remained about the same since January, nor with the prices they advertise, which have plummeted to $5/mil. If I recall correctly I was getting tells advertising "special offers" for $20/mil a few months ago.
Citation for commen sense? You are kidding me, right? I am not going to watch the Live Letters and check in which he said it, but beside that is is natural to be that way. Last time he said that, was during the E3 Interviews iirc. If you ever worked in Support/Q&A, you will know, that with time you get more efficient tools/ways to improve, whatever you are doing. Or do you think SE is not using tools to find them, but let people read every single chatlog one by one? O_o
God no. No. No. No. Also, No.
Honestly, I don't know why people are still complaining about bots. I've played on Masamune and Tonberry, I hardly notice any of them which makes me sad.... need cheaper shards.
I would like a bot to shovel the poop out of the chocobo stables, or maybe a retainer could do it. Don't see any reason for a warrior of light to be managing feces.
Are you drunk?
Problem is though, still PLENTY of bots, even the sames ones since launch roaming around doing their thing. Even players who aren't RMT that bot (and make it fairly obvious) haven't been suspended or banned yet. So they may be fighting them but it's a losing battle it seems. Botting will become "legalized" once they create the mod api since that's goin to be one of the first things made next to a dps meter.
No i'm just not particularly enamored by the concept of having to regularly clean out a chocobo stable. You know, you get home from saving the world, "guess I'll go clean up chocobo poop now".Are you drunk?
If Botters want to shell out 150+ dollars a month (plus at least 400+ dollars for the discs, and who knows how much for the machines), and not actually play the game, I say let them. It's no skin off my pocketbook, and it helps keep this game afloat longer so that I can continue enjoying it.
That said, I will still report them if they try to sell me their gil.
EDIT: Please note, I am in no way advocating botting. Rather I am advocating them wasting their money doing something they take no enjoyment from.

I agree, but instead of using the term 'continue' I would say they should drop the pretense and actually crack down on them. I see players I have reported as botters still running around (and FC hopping). Mostly shard and fate botters.

The generation of random numbers is too important to be left to chance.
