Yeah, as always people never cease to amaze me. It's sad that an apology thread turned into people pretty much asking "...so what's your angle?" Was it unnecessary to make a thread about this? Probably. But it just goes to show how some people are nowadays, based on some of the responses to this...but this is first time I can remember seeing someone accusing the OP of wanting to increase their post count, that's for sure. As to the OP, there isn't much need for apologizing here, though I think it was a kind gesture. Everyone has had to leave a group in progress at some point. Things happen.
Man, some people are really desperate to take a shot a someone.
@OP: It's np, some times unavoidable things happen. My grandmother just had a total knee replacement recently, and I had to cut out of a dungeon about 5 minutes in to help her. Sometimes RL just happens ^^

I think you did a kind thing OP, as you probably felt guilty enough to ask for forgiveness. Judging by the fact you went through DF solo, you actually cared to be with the group and not want to screw them over, but you had to due to an emergency (face it, getting a healer in Cutter's Cry is not quick after a healer drops). So, kudos to you!
P.S. Never did I think this was a post focused on raising count or to grab the spotlight for a moment. After all, the general forums are for just about anything FFXIV related. I found it was rather nice to see someone really go out of their way to apologize for an emergency leave.
C'est Vie ou Mort!

I haven't replied earlier as the venom by one person really took me a back, wasn't expecting that, yes one of the people did turn out to be from my server as they sent a tell saying they saw the thread and wasn't a problem
Thanks those for the kind comments, hope to meet you I'm game some day!
Take care and all the best
Ps the dogs fine, she just now has an angry mark on her nose after being stung
Seriously? Some people will go to any length to boost their post count. Credit you for feeling apologetic about the situation but there's really no need to feel overly 'emo' about it and bring your aimless emotions on here. Your target audience has no direct impact on your situation, so the only reasoning for posting this is to either create a thread where you're the center of attention or as stated find another ill fated way to boost your post count?
I find it rather strange.

Honestly I'd probably have done the exact same thing if I was in the OP's shoes and felt the need to apologize. If you don't remember the names of the party members it can be pretty hard to search for them on your server, and if you're using duty finder, they could be from any server in your data center. You don't know for sure that a random player is gonna visit any forum at all, so it would be a shot in the dark but the official forum is as good a place to start as anywhere else.
To OP: Glad your dog's fine and that you were able to get a response from one of them. It's awful that some people take offense to every little thing even if it doesn't concern them personally, but it was nice of you to try and apologize.
You forgot to quote this too: For me to resort to these kind of post makes me feel on the same league than you, as there was no other way so that you can see it.
So, nope, not a bit.
Lets not try to play the game of who's better than who, and keep on the thread that OP made.
Hmm...people get mad over people apologizing now.
Internet trolls are just the weirdest people ever. What do they even accomplish with this attitude? Congratulations on insulting a nice person, I guess? o.O Want a cookie?
