Personal taste, I dislike every song but 1 in the whole of XIV sound track, I would even turn that "Dislike" to "Hate" and ended up just file swapping them but Coerthas. But thats my taste, im sure you'd disagree =)I have to disagree; On Windy Meadows is one of the better tracks to be heard in-game so far. By far, it's on par with Ronfaure from FFXI, which was nothing short of stunning. There's nothing I can fault about the in-game track. It's nostalgic, charming and moving. Sure, it's synth may be sub-par, but the development of the melody, the flute and violin and the heroic chorus make it far from being 'bland'.
But this version is better in it's own way as event music. I definitely won't like this version in-game, but as a stand-alone piece, it is highly emotional and captivating. Though I have to say the percussion interlude at around 3 mins was a bit...o.o making. Still, I love the orchestral arrangment very much as well.
