That is not what it says. It is possible that is what it implies, but it does not explicitly say that at all. It says that the Elite Hunt will be the same for all players for week, which could also mean it is still a pop similar to Treasure Hunt, but will be the same for all members as opposed to 1 per person.
The description seems to point to fates. I hope Odin and Behemoth fates won't be part of the elite hunts, or it would be brutal =\
Was hoping they held out on hand outs for little longer but I guess they got tired of all you guys complaining.
Seen the pics for the armor and the caster/healer gear looks pretty good, will probably get that first.

Gonna be saving up for sand.

What a shame elites have a weekly lockout, it's not even about the amount of tokens they award all at once since they could have adjusted it so they give the equivalent in a week of doing them, maybe one day they won't manage to screw up promising content in one way or another.

Yes, because that lovely HA Weapon is just going to fall from the sky once you kill your first hunt...oh wait.
Not seeing the screw up. But I suppose its simply a difference of opinion. What a shame elites have a weekly lockout, it's not even about the amount of tokens they award all at once since they could have adjusted it so they give the equivalent in a week of doing them, maybe one day they won't manage to screw up promising content in one way or another.

Just one thing I'd like to point out. First, the picture here from the trailer.

The reward granted by the elite mark bill is gil and allied seals. But looking at the topic, we have the following:
Call me crazy, but what I'm getting from this is that the elite marks, which are powerful enemies randomly wandering the realm, yield allied seals and tomestones. The bill, which we receive once per week, is just icing on the cake.Upon defeating elite marks, players will receive rewards including Allied Seals, Allagan tomestones of mythology, and Allagan tomestones of soldiery.
In other words, I don't think there's a once per week restriction on actually finding and defeating these monsters for allied seals.

I read it as everyone gets the same elite mark each week, and it's going to be a rare spawn like a FFXI NM or odin/behemoth fate. You can get the reward once per week.Just one thing I'd like to point out. First, the picture here from the trailer.

Daily marks work the same, except you can get a different one from everyone else, and it's a normal mob that's just hanging around almost all the time.
Yes, everyone is assigned the same elite mark bill every week, but who's to say the rest of the elite mark enemies aren't just roaming around waiting to be found? Only one rare monster spawning per week is a little far-fetched.I read it as everyone gets the same elite mark each week, and it's going to be a rare spawn like a FFXI NM or odin/behemoth fate.
