1,000,000 gil dynamis clock too ??????????
1,000,000 gil dynamis clock too ??????????
hahahahaha, a queue system seriously? I'm sure Yoshi posted there wasn't going to be one, I am sure he clarified it twice, so I am confused by Yoshi saying "no queues", then this say "yay queues".
I'm from England we are professionals at queuing up and I really dislike the idea of this.
Isn't the point of instanced dungeons to set a seperate instance for each seperate group wishing to enter so that there are no "queues" or "waiting for your turn"...? Like why even call them that if that's apparently what they're not going to be?
I'm sure by SE's logic, if there's at least one instance then that's enough to call them "instanced raids".![]()
So i'm confused, its not actually instanced? More like FFXI dynamis?

Its actually blatantly obvious as to what is said or implied. It works like most MMO's on the market. You get in & get out without worrying about standing around outside.
If i'm wrong, then i honestly don't want to play FF14. FF11 was an exception for that terrible kind of system and i will not play "Final Fantasy Lobby Standing: Part II" online again.
Edit:
Also, certain FF11 battlefields were similar to this(but more than only 1, but still limited amount), and i will not tolerate this either if it's only like 5-10 max.Originally Posted by Kowen

Swoop in here community team and dispel these concerns, please!

WHY are instances making ppl queue? Dynamis wasn't Instance, only 1 group run every 3 hrs. Assault/salvage/Einherjar(i believe) was instances, where many group can enter.
Edit: Nvm they probably meant a limit, like a certain zone can only take a certain amount of ppl at a time, i think if the zone is full, youd just have to wait untill a group finishes, this might be an issue jus the first few days. i dont know the capacity of Zone, but im gonna guess around 100~ similar to dynamis(75?), so about 12 parties per hour?

Goodbye, Final Fantasy...
the confusion is whether or not it really is gonna be a dynamis system all over again. first come first serve? dynamis was not a real instance which is why there was a first come first serve mechanic.
if they did that again, then itd be a dungeon stuck back in 2003.
edit.
do any of you know what instances actually are?
an instance is a virtual duplicate of a zone which is instantly made for you (and your group)
there is no one zone with a limit as to how many people can be in it forcing people to wait for their chance, its one zone duplicated to accomodate your group.
nothing in FFXI was actually instanced, some events were slightly phased and some just had multiple copies of that zone waiting to be occupied. thats why there were such restrictions in FFXI when it came to these events.
this is why what Yoshi said is confusing to me.
archaic technology says that FFXIV should more than have the capabilities to do an actual instanced zone which would not require any type of "first come first serve" or "wait list" due to maximum capacity reached, MMOs have had that technology for years now. if they create a limit as to how many instances that can be duplicated then it should only be a server stability issue, not the lack of the ability to do what FFXI couldnt.
there for, if FFXIV is unable able to create an actual instance then that means they do not have the technology to do so. and this is sad, very very sad.

15 abilities each? what is this... Kindergarten?A jack of all trades WHM... what is this 1989?
I think there is a finite limit of instances that SE can handle via there hardware our game engine at once so like 15 (made up number) groups will be able to go at once. This is also why I think you have to in a party of 4 or 8 to enter (in addition to making it easier for them to balance content.
This really needs to be clarified as soon as possible. Bayohne, please give us the lowdown if you can.
