    Personally I agree with a lot of the issues you brought up as an entirety. Since one of the biggest issues I've seen through my history of MMO's is that most teams don't realize that their restrictive mindset not only affects them but the people playing their game. Also when people bring up "concerns" it doesn't mean "revamp" but to take into consideration alternative approaches to said content or changes. Above all while you want us to stay subscribed as long as possible the simplest way is to make long term objectives enjoyable goals and experiences and not long term objectives for the sake of longevity where it feels like a job or a chore to do.

    While I disagree with Why are we still unable to send /tells in dungeons? due to the fact that some many players can't just get along with other demograph of players they get matched with in DF. Wipes are simply small repair bills at most and may take slightly longer to clear said dungeon. Yet that don't justify the extremes some players take it after a wipe or two by harassing those players with their "two cents". Since in the end both are capable of being victims as well as offenders. I understand the luxury of a good team but DF is not a place to have those kind of expectations 100% of the time.

    Yet I ain't against a sort of solution or compromise. Such as individual voting to allow private messaging in dungeons.

    My advice is any time you create content and restrict it question yourself about the excuses you use to justify them.
    Every time you avoid certain aspects to implement also question yourselves about why you avoid them and instead of giving up look for alternatives and compromises you will feel comfortable with.

    On tells in dungeons, this could be a code limitation. We are moved to another server while in a dungeon and they probably didn't think to add a cross tell system. I believe this is SE's first attempt at an instance system and while no tells in a dungeon are rather poor design, it is far from game breaking. Hopefully in the future they will look into this.

    On the class switching in dungeons, I believe this is also a thing for instances. Imagine you queue up for tank, get in instantly then switch to DPS and either wait for someone to leave to get another tank, or get vote kicked after the 15 minutes. I personally like the current setup. Maybe if they implemented a vote system if and only if one person left the group so someone could switch to another class. Or maybe vote to change all classes in the group so someone could take on a missing roll and get another player in quicker (ie. DPS changes to Tank to get another DPS in faster.)

    that's exactly why they did it, but they made one mistake. they didnt account for players animosity. now instead of people being harassed via tells, they're openly harrased in party chat. i.e. it was pointless

    Well, at least everyone in the party can see it for a swift vote kick out of the instance if they go too far.

    you'd think, but say the others in the pt are of the same mind as the one calling out the other player. say he made one slight mistake and the other three werent having it. in that kind of situation [which sadly isnt uncommon] the votekick would be initiated against the harassed player. its sad, really ;_;

    I seem to recall people saying that XI had been out for a year in JP prior to it's being released in NA. Are you counting this? (just wondering)
    (I'll admit I'm a bit fatigued by the "new CT/Coil, 1 new dungeon, & 2 hm dungeons though actually kind of all the same thing" per update as well.)

    And that was 1.23. So the term 'Anymore' should be removed.

    I love when people act like FFXIV and FFXIV:ARR are the same game.

    Well, I think before they release Coils 3, they need to consider releasing CT3 in a small patch prior to 2.4 like when Coils was released it came in a smaller patch.

    That is something to keep in mind.

    Also one thing, you should be able to switch jobs, just stay within the same type that you jumped in on. If you are a tank, you can swap between the tank classes. So on and so forth.

    I think that would be fair...?

    That was one of the issues I had, was that people will abuse the heck out of this, queue up as tank and swap to melee. Since tank wait times, in my experience, is non-existing.

    All of the features included in 1.23 were under the direction of Naoki Yoshida and his team. Features like Skirmish and Hamlet (that are no longer around), and gear like Darklight and the relics as well as fights like the primals were all fruit borne during that time, for all intents and purposes yeah the groundwork that was laid there led directly into the game you're playing now unless I'm imagining the levels and gear i retained from that time. ^^;

    Are you going to deny that the current main scenario is not a continuation of the story that was started previously as well?

    I've already admitted the game has changed in many ways mechanics wise and most of it for the better, but every question I've asked was about a feature that Yoshida himself had put into the game at one point, nothing I've talked about were features that were present during Tanaka's time as producer, so yeah.. mostly the same game.
