Were you roleplaying your Prae exit there?
To be fair, at current gear levels I could pretty much tank all of the Storyline bosses on Monk in Earth stance. Losing a tank isn't the end of the world on those fights.
I am so glad to do DR's, all of them, as a break from BF speedruns. So tired of the mindless repeat of BF.
I believe the only solution right now is to put the cutscenes at the end of the run. I mean, I get that each boss fight and each encounter is part of the story. But if the cutscenes were at the end, everyone would get what they want. Dungeon run would be done. People could leave and skip, or stay and watch.
All se needs to do is disable Cs on he ms roulette if a first timer is in it. It makes it fair. Wanna speed Run? Too bad, pf it. Also, because it'll make a lot of people want to quit the map on entrance, if anyone quits, 1 hour lock out and take away their bonus.
It's harsh. But I hate ashole that force new players to skip. My first time in praet I ran as Dps and got left out of the first fight for watching cs. Said f that changed to healer and made them wait. Because I lucked out and Bob me and the other healer were first time.
This is why my FC gathers up a group when one of our newer members is going through CM and PT for the first time. When I first done these it was fine to watch the cs as back then everyone was new and was enjoying the story, now it all seems to be about rushing and screw anyone else who's new and wanting to enjoy the story just as we did back when we were fresh 50s.
Sometimes it just feels like some players forget that once upon a time, they were fresh lv50's too.
Sorry bud, but I'm recalling it as I remembered it. I guess you never hit a brick wall like I have with that game in terms of community. I do miss how I can escape the grindfest it was to go solo into quiet dungeons though... despite how pointless(and impossible) that was.Could you please stop this? i don't know what are your intentions but that's a lie, the FFXI community WAS the best online community, where i have only found 2 trolls in my 8 years there, you and more ppl like you is promoting this stupid hate against FFXI and it's community that has nothing to do with ffxiv, i konw it's ironic, but stay on topic and leave your hate out.
However, recalling my days there have made me thought of a better solution that doesn't involve dealing with people who can't find the time to wait...Just make the instance solo-able, or que-able with fewer people. Yeah sure, that's enhancing the 'lolsingleplayer' aspect but at the same time the SRers are ruining their immersion anyways.
I see, so you would rather SE force players to play "your way or the highway", regardless of the party composition. Please, tell me more how this is a 'good idea".
PF has "no cutscene skipping" as an option. DF does not have any restrictions BY DESIGN. Which one caters more to your desires?
Because, when you go df you should expect to deal with that. That's why they give the rewards, so high lvl will help the low levels. If you wanna speed run it, build your own party. If your doing df, expect to be held back because that's what you are there for. To help the new players do story, that's why you get a reward for doing it. .I see, so you would rather SE force players to play "your way or the highway", regardless of the party composition.
