CT - Taking the Bone Dragon to the True North

I transferred from one of the primal server worlds and had to adjust to having the dragon tanked in the middle. With the dragon pulled north there didn't need to be any organization of alliances. Tanks just pulled whatever skeletons straight back. If one of the skeletons was killed in the wrong spot it never got killed fast enough to avoid an aoe so it isn't like this was some way of compensating for messing up. With the dragon in the center each alliance takes two spokes and everyone is in range of their healers. We'd also run skeletons in front of the dragon if needed and silence the conal aoe. Both stats work fine. The problem with doing the center method on primal, however, is the alliances won't know to organize in groups and you're bound to have skeletons killed in the wrong place. It's not your fault there was a wipe, but on primal I'd just stick with what everyone knows or you will have to reteach it to every group you run with.

I've recently switched to Primal, but I haven't done CT there yet. Where I'm originally from though, it was always tanked in the middle. This tanking to North is a new concept to me.

And when I tank ct, haven't for a few months lol, we survive. If another tank tries to take aggro and is screwing up I'll take it from him and win it. But the melee and the healers..... Your healers heal you, your melee stays with dragon, not too hard a concept. Sure they run through the poison, drg jumps, bard has arrows, the only two players who can't att are the pug (who cares) and the tanks (not dps). Sure tank it in the middle, lemme know how that went after 5 runs. It's a super simple idea, op is asking what the tank should do. Tank defends his party and runs the raid. Lions don't bother with the plans of sheep

Yes. I actually suggested during a multi-wipe run that the tank try the center and was scoffed at. Everyone seemed to say that they had never seen the dragon tanked in the center. We then proceeded to wipe 2 more times.

My 6 month tanking CT with dragon in the middle each time, with a grand total of 0 wipe (on 1st boss. Somehow, KB is a roadblock for ~10% of the groups) would have a word with your theory.

With that mind of yours, you are an horrible tank (as you don't allow your party to exploit its full potential by your placement Worse, you intentionally ignore one job).

#1 reason why center-tanking is superior: the off-tanks can combo off the boss and have a RoH/BB ready when the adds spawn. Voke+Lob has failed me too many times to ever fully trust it again.

I really don't understand why changing strategy is trouble them this much,
the mechanics are really simple,
1. Kill Skellies as far as possible from Dragon,
2. Don't kill Skellies close to each other.
3. Dps to not steal aggro before tank bring Skellies in place.

All I can think of is, they are dumb....
