Assuming the cane up for 110,000 gil is yours, why in the world would you undercut by 40k from the next highest sale price?
I'm gonna yell at you too, right now. Especially considering the fact that there are ONLY TWO total up for sale. You could up your price a little and more than likely still sell it just as quickly.
GM will do nothing about this, since the market is fair game, so you should feel secure about that at least. But man, you're only hurting yourself with such a massive undercut.
I prefer XI's blind auction system to this. Both systems have their pros and cons, but I would take the XI system in a heartbeat (unless of course they've changed it in the last 3 years...then ignore !)
Yeah, what pretty much everyone else has said. It's not going to "sell faster" because you undercut - if someone wants to buy it, they're just gonna grab the lowest on the market when they decide to look, whether that's by 1k or 20k. I can't say I blame them for being irritated and frustrated, though their methods of contacting you about it weren't really excusable. Fact is, when you do that, someone's just gonna come along and undercut -you-, and it's gonna go back and forth until one sells. That's how the markets work. There's no sense in hurting your own sales - and everyone else's - THAT much.
Hey
Not troll question but what the heck wrong with undercut? just peoples rage when he find out he got undercut and sent tell like that? make no sense to me
Of course, its make sense if "You" sell whatever and you got undercut by "that guy" alot
Sure, go ahead, rant and rage you want because you got intended undercut by "that guy" so go and find him and then punch him in the face, you have full right
Just tell them you're free to undercut all you want. High prices are not a right! Telling people not to undercut by any amount is just selfish.
Don't listen to that person who sent you that tell. It's your item sell it whatever price you want. If you wanna sell it high then sell it high if you wanna sell it low sell it low.
Huge undercuts are obviously good for buyers, bad for sellers. Lets say you're a crafter, and you have found yourself a niche market selling boots at 35k a piece. Then here comes the OP who puts his 1 pair up at $20k because he wants to sell it fast. If another person comes along and also adds their boots to sell, they will base it off the now-low-price of $20K, as will most future sales. And sadly it doesn't tend to stop with just one seller. So OP sold at $20K, next person may come along and drop it another $5K, so on and so forth.Hey

But again, that's how this game is setup. Whatcha gonna do. Just have to then try to find some other market that no one else has tapped yet and hope some person doesn't come along and crash that for you too.
