Am I doing something wrong with Atma farming? I have not dropped a single item.

I am trying to get Atma items to upgrade my Relic weapon, but I have yet to obtain even a single one! In about 20 hours of game time over the course of the last couple of weeks, I've been doing FATEs to get this Atma stuff. Joining Atma farming parties helps, can do lots of them in a short time.


I have passed 500 FATEs completed since working on this, and haven't dropped a single item. Other people in my FC have completed all 12 in about 200, another at around 350. Other people in FATE parties drop 1 or 2 in a couple of hours. But I still don't have a single one.


Am I doing something wrong? I have my Zenith weapon and it is equipped while I'm doing the FATEs, and I'm doing the ones in the areas where it is supposed to drop.
Maybe something is bugged? I've never heard of that anywhere else, but I'm starting to think that something is preventing me from obtaining this item.

If you have the quest and are using the Zenith, is just RNG messing with you. I wish you luck o/

If your using Zenith it really is just RNG messing with you after I got 3 it took 118 hrs of fate farming to get my 4th got 4 in about 2 hrs after that and now RNGesus has forsaken me again stuck on the water-bearer for about 10 hrs so far

Statistics would state that. But statistics can be manipulated and if it took the amount of fates added up then yes you would be correct but the calculation works on a fate to fate basis. So yes you have a 1/100 chance to get one each time you do a fate sadly that's the basis. So because of how that works you could get 1 in 1 fate or never get one ever it's just how the rng gods work just keep at it you will get them in time each time you do a fate that's a higher chance then giving up

You unfortunately are on the same boat as many. You are the statistical probability that rolled a 1 on the dice every time. It's just bad luck. It took me about 400 fates to get my first one so I feel you here.

That's exactly why the RNG-based Animus FATE grind is sub par Game design. It is not about a matter of skills or at least endurance. You can do it as often and long as you can, it is still possible that you get nothing in the end. Why SE does not answer to the complaints and has no plans to change anything for now is just beyond me. RNG is the worst thing to have when it is about one of the best weapons in the Game. Thanks God I was more lucky but I still think it should be changed. Good luck to your endavours, OP. May the ATMAS be with you.

As everyone before me said... Its all RNG. You are not doing anything wrong its just completely random on if it will drop or not for all 12

I'm starting to think that either I'm doing something wrong, or my character is bugged.
Because in terms of probability, it's highly unlikely for me to *not* have gotten an item by now.

If they have a 5% drop rate, then statistically speaking, you should get one every 20 FATEs. Even if the drop rate is 1%, then I should have at least 4 of them.

Whatever the case, this just isn't going to happen for me.
All of my friends have been doing this together, and they all progressed while I didn't.
My subscription ends at the end of this month (unfortunately before the next major update)
I'm probably not going to renew the subscription because of this

If they change the drop system for Atma items or there is some new feature that I'm interested in, then I might renew and start playing again.
Otherwise, I'm done with it, endgame content is terrible.
