Man oh man oh man.

Fusionx is on his way to some Post-E3 R&R, but I'm looking over the details and we're looking at everything from interesting behind-the-scenes peeks to lorebombs potentially capable of leaving a Dalamud-sized crater in this forum. Some of this information has my inner Moose smugly sipping tea and saying, "Mm, yes, well I saw that coming," ... and then some of it has me spitting said tea across the room and screaming, "I utilized in-game quotes and official press releases to choose a logical stance and you're gonna make me eat my hat!?"

If you like hanging in the Lore Forum, though, Please Look Forward To It™, because Fernehalwes proves once again that sometimes the best tidbits come from the producer himself, but sometimes the people you really want to talk to are the ones who know all about the mating habits of the Amalj'aa and get to decide that Quake Me Up Before You O'Ghomoro is totally going to be the name of something someday.

OHHH DAMN, Moose, I can't wait to see this. I may be -quiet- around these forums, but I've been lurking them since first getting to play the ARR beta, back when the forum was still in 1.0 stages. Can't get enough of the lore speculation as it is, this is gonna be awesome.

My goodness now I can hardly wait. Could you at least give us a teeny tiny little hint of which of the questions were answered before the official release? Or are we just going to have to suck it up and hold our breath?

Without deigning to wake the dragoon, however rofl he may be, I can only say that you shouldn't get your hopes up about getting any information whose proper place is a future planned, story-driven reveal. We're meant cross and/or burn those bridges at a time that is not now. Instead, expect questions like: "X is vague. Can you make X less vague?" and "Y seemed like a thing and now Y is not a thing. Can you tell us about Y before it's forgotten?" and "We see how Z turned out in the game, but what was it like planning Z on the development end?" Stuff that smooths out some transitions we've made and lets you know what the team hoped to do.

Still, there's stuff you have to try to talk about while talking is a thing that can happen. You know, the kind of stuff people see mentioned in a thread and then they go make another thread about just that thing, and then we have five threads all focused on different facets of that thing, and you have to go back and forth like, man, if we only knew a little more of the stuff it feels like we're supposed to know, this would be a lot easier. Maybe one or two of those things didn't get answered with "NICE TRY!" and the sound of receding wingflaps.
