Unfortunately, achievement data is private by default, so unless people make it public on their lodestones we won't know anything past the first few (BG has been first on coil thus far). It would be nice if this wasn't the case, but so it goes. SE is very protective.

As for the "no-lifing" comments... sometimes world first guilds simply have people take a week or so off work to clear content. I wouldn't just assume everyone there is a "no-lifer."

Hard Core Progression Raiders treat MMO's like a Second Job. They just put more dedication into what they do. Calling them "no-lifers" is childish and uncalled for. Maybe they work 3 days a week, 12 hour shifts, and sneak in a 4 hour one, then spend the other evenings playing the game they enjoy. You dont know, so dont be so quick to judge.

The Mentality that playing a game for more than 7 hours a day translates into one having no life is, as I have stated, childish, so grow up.

"xxx first" is actually a measure of no-lifing rather than skill, since the only thing u need for raid content is basic job comprehension and a lot of time as the static group.

did you try doing T6-9 group, without using any guide, and trying to figure out all the mechanics, by yourself?
they are world first, cause they are very skilled players.
there's been ppl bashing their heads at 2nd coil, for months, without succeeding, even with guides. So *basic job comprehension* doesn't get you that far.
Some ppl take 10 tries to learn a fight, some take 10hrs, or even 100+. you dont get world first, if you take 100hrs to master a fight.

It's a hobby. If I told you I took off work to go golfing, would you consider that any different? Just curious, since in the end, the person taking time is doing it for THEIR enjoyment. Who am I to judge?

I used to work 10 hours a day, 4 days a week. We had people work 12 hour days 3 days a week, and half day during the week. As long as the work got done, it didn't matter when you worked.

Is there a page in the loadstone, or a website somewhere that displays proof, with no error, 100% truth, on who is the first to beat anything in this game? I notice lots of FCs like to use the "we were first in the world to beat this" line. However, those that are most vocal, tend to be the biggest liars. I'm not stating that anyone is an actual liar, but keep in mind, not everyone is boastful, and there very well could have been people beating it BEFORE anyone that claims to have beat it first, but because they choose to not brag, no one hears about it.

I tend to think that pretty much anyone who feels the need to brag about something as truly meaningless as world firsts in a freaking video game is full of it on general principle. There is no way to prove it unless they documented it well enough to show dates and times with video/pictures/whatever, and no one else happens to come forward to say they beat it first. But yeah, I've found that most people THINK they were the first, when they actually weren't. Not everyone brags about their victories, or documents them, so really, how would anyone know if they were first? And really, not to sound like a dick or anything, but does anyone really care? I know I don't.

IIRC, WoW sends out serverwide messages when a World First kill happens. Yoshi and co. should probably look into that for FFXIV.

As long as we can turn them off. I don't think my eyes could withstand the strain of all that rolling.
