    I would very much prefer they do nothing to reduce our anima limit or regeneration rate until we see how these upcoming travel changes help us. If the airships run once every 30 minutes (or something insane), I'll still want/need anima. Chocobos will only help getting around the region you're already in - I won't be using them to run from Uldah to Gridania, as an example.

    Given how awful travel has been for such a long period of time, I'd rather have an overabundance of options for a patch or two before we go screaming to take options away. Seriously.

    i agree, but teleportation and exiting dungeons should be mage spells. should be fixed that is all

    Erm... we have this many masochists playing?

    You all seriously WANT to have less options on getting to where ya going in a speedy manner?

    You enjoy wasting your time traveling instead of wasting your time playing the game???

    Not me, I prefer to get where I am going (especially after I have seen the path to get there 500 times already) fast as possible that way I can play the game with the time I have instead of using all the time I have to get where I am going and have no time left to play the game once I get there...

    i hate running, but thats what transportion is for. i didnt like fast travel in oblivion or fallout3 either

    not that we WANT to, just we saw worse before so we dont see it that way. Like traveling from 3nations to dunes before npc teleports @ lv10

    1) I agree the world is too easy to traverse, making all other transport useless.

    2) Even if there were no teleporting with anima, walking around the world at the moment would be so boring due to the lack of content.. It was nice to walk around in FFXI because there was always little things to find (the BRD job quest for example had stones all over the world, but I didn't know what they were for, I was just interested to find out what it was eventually). FFXIV has nothing to find/explore, making it dull.

    3) Should teleportation go FFXI style I'd suggest actually having seperate crystals from the normal ones (and a lot less of them too) otherwise it's just complicated. these crystals would be a good idea because then you may be able to teleport to another area but then have to walk to the place you want to go.

    4) Make other damn means of transport before limiting what we have (anima). Chocobos, airships, tele-crystals (with spells only mage jobs can use at some level above like 20 or something), the ferry is there but it's too dull, there is a thread about this anyway so I won't go into detail just yet.

    5) Chocobos would ruin the game if they had no time limit until they kick you off! Don't make it too easy, we have to walk some of the ways if it's a long journey.

    the game lacks on achievements, getting to the dunes - wooo achievement, having to hire someone to even find my way to jueno - big adventure, quest to get chocobo - achievement, being able to tele to the crags - achievement, it took awhile to get each, but it made you feel good. right now its just tele tele tele leve leve leve log off catch the same golden leves again tomorrow and tele some more

    Right now, they're planning for future transportation to play a role in increasing the rate of gil flowing out of the economy. This won't work very well if nothing is done to the current teleportation system, so I'm fairly confident they'll make some big changes to it. We're not asking for BAD transportation options, we just want them to be more interesting than warping to where you want to go instantly. It diminishes the already limited game world.
