Heck No. Other games have had 1 class releases and did just fine. World of warcraft looks and laughs at you hardcore. Oh lookie here lets throw in death knights. everyone played every class for years and yes dks became the flavor of the month but that quickly wears off and people who love the new class stick with it while many many others revert to the old classes they once played. The same thing happened to monks. Will tons of people flock to this new class in ff14 yep. but does that mean all are gonna find the playstyle of said class fun. Well fun is subjective so no people will go back to classes they enjoy if they dislike how this new class plays.

I agree with OP I said this much yesterday in my FC and the person I said this too left angered by my *opinion*...I have the exact same concerns as the OP, unfortunately, people only see the flavour of the day, the new shiny thing, there is only one thing to do in these situations, just wait, lay back and later on, EVENTUALLY say to all....! I did say it would be a nightmare.

Your petition wont have the favour of the populace because populace want new, they dont really care or dont want to care about balance, consequences, and the like. I am glad I only have my monk as DPS to level still, after that I will have a tank. I for sure will level ninja but not right off, only once the waters became calmer.

When all are goign to complain that DF is impossible, that PF only wants super powerful players, I will be able to start levelling ninja because then all would be back to...tank and healers.(ironie here)
