Why can't people dodge?

Been grinding titan..I know it is DF but cmon..when many of the DPS have 100 level gear I expect them to be goodish..but so many times it comes down to me being the only dps alive..and we turtle along until I kill it. Why are people so bad at dodging ;_; titan HM isnt even hard.

Probably because there are more reasons than just "not being able to"....server lag, connection lag, graphics lag...maybe even a physical handicap...or the cat jumped on the keyboard, the kid threw up, the doorbell rang...who knows?

If people could dodge, No one would ever die in cars, from bullets or hit in the face in a boxing match.

It's all about reaction time. Sometimes people have enough time to get out of the way other times they don't.

I get this but as many times as I ran it today I would think at least some would be capable.

This. Though there are players who just can't react fast enough in general (usually due to inexperience). A friend of mines was like that, but after I helped him out with it, he's learned to dodge things much better. Part of his problem was him using a low end laptop to play, but he overcame that for the most part.

Well considering you can buy 100 gear from just running easy dungeons, gear means nothing in terms of skill.

seriously though sometimes its just latency and some people just dont have that kind of reaction time. thats usually why they play RPG's in the first place. Other than loving great stories.

Also, unfortunately, as you get older your reaction time isn't as fast as it used to be.

The first time I did Titan as a WHM I could not dodge a thing I lagged so much. Having to watch other people HP bars did not help in the least too... When I did it as a BRD it was so much easier since there was almost no lag and I only had to take care of myself.
