In honesty, I want them both. While some of the songs from 1.0 were exceptionally mood appropriate and defined XIV (On windy meadows was my personal favourite), others were a bit bland. Much of ARR's music has a perfect match with the environment (Thanalan in particular), and is hauntingly atmospheric. Althoug short in duration...

So yes, I want them both.

^This. I loved Uematsu's 1.0 soundtrack but I also love what Soken has done in ARR as well - my only wish is some of my favourite 1.0 tracks that are currently MIA (Navigator's Glory, Born of the Boughs, The Forest's Pulse, Piece of Mind, Widdershins, The Seventh Gate, Conflagration, Tears for Mor Dhona, Holy Consult to name but a few) will return in one form or another. So yeah, I love both soundtracks equally.
