Dragoons are getting their Wyvern (not explicitly announced, Yoshi vid inside)

This is how you guys set yourself up for disappointment so much. He is asked a common fan question, he gives his thoughts on the feasibility of implementing it, and everyone takes it as confirmation it is going to come. What does putting "not explicitly announced" in the topic achieve when you prefix it with a certain statement? It's a contradiction. I'm reminded of Life of Brian; Yoshida is the messiah and the official forums are the followers blowing everything he does way out of proportion.

I do like an idea brought up earlier in the thread about a Wyvern being incorporated in one of the new DRG LBs. Maybe have it be kinda like a dummied-down "Megaflare"?

Also, Yoshi also let slip that there'll be a new race coming in the next expansion (that I assume will be the same race as Yugiri from the 2.2 storyline), so that's exciting!

To my knowledge, the only games where Dragoons had any kind of a pet were FFXIII (Fang, TECHNICALLY a Dragoon because she wielded a spear, controlled the Eidolon Bahamut) and in Final Fantasy Dimensions, where (much like in the Suikoden universe), Dragoons had Dragons as "partners" in combat.

Though to be fair, other than as monsters/bosses and summons, peaceful dragons haven't really been much of a staple in Final Fantasy.

The very first Final Fantasy had peaceful dragons, you had to fetch a rat tail for dragon king Bahamut to get class change.

They should just make it be a minion and be done with it.

This is just me but i hate how Minions are in this game cant have 1 out and mount up + cant have them out in a dungeon they seem really pointless to even use if you cant use them when you want.

Sorry to break the bubble for all Dragoons that were expecting to get a wyrm and as Yoshida said to IGN if that ever happens then the DRG will loose power to balance the class.
