Future gear sets

The gates were open when they added FFXIII sets... those sets are:
- Specific character costume
- Not very fitting in eorzea world

I think most of people playing this game are fans of previous FFs, and FFXIV is doing a great job using the series lore, references, names, and even revemped models from other FFs (XI enemies and base races) and still having its own lore and differences

He have minions of 3 classes from Final Fantasy I, we have Lighting costume, we have a bar called seventh heaven, costa del sol etc. FFXIV even has some nods to memes in their quest names

Sure if SE give us a Cloud or Sephiroth set everyone and their retainers are going to portray it for a month or two, but then it will fade out and some people will just use a piece or two for vanity for other stuff

It will not prevent people calling their chars (or TOONS) as some character they are fan to, being FF related or not

It will not break the game, let people have fun cosplaying other chars, you can laugh for yourself when you watch a Cloudxxxx with full armor die from a landslide, but respect the fanboysm of those persons that made FF so popular.

Well, okay, I wouldn't mind a male version of Lightning's uniform, either. No more gender-locked items, SE.
