It would be nice to get some 8 man dungeons, but the problem is, look at Prat, people were trying to skip everything, so it would be a waste for them to do it, if all it would turn into is people speed running and skipping 80% of the dungeon.

You put in mechanics which make speed running it hard unless the group is really skilled. Like back in 1.0's CC the group split two ways and both groups had to kill a mob at the same time or you'd start at the beginning of the dungeon.
You also increase the reward. Put rare low % drops on the final boss which can be used to craft vanity gear and make the soldiery reward worth it.
There is lots of stuff they could do, 4 man is just getting boring and coil locks out 95% of the server until it's nerfed and then it's just boss rush anyway.
I also think they should make new (non coil) 8 man dungeons based on the difficulty they originally planned for crystal tower. I think that would strike a good balance.
So not as hardcore as coil but still challenging and fun.
