I wonder if you would ever consider using a physics system for the character models to make clipping less of an issue.Greetings,
When it comes to introducing new hairstyles and gear, we’ve been placing a lot of focus on creating diversity and our highest priority is to continue to introduce new varieties going forward.
We understand the concerns about gear and hairstyle clipping; however, if we were to stick to designs that ensure that there is no clipping then it would limit the types of equipment we were able to create. Due to this the development team has decided to continue putting the designs ahead of the concerns about clipping.
(!) THE VERSION THAT SHALL NOT BE NAMED!
Seriously as much as I wish it, the development team threw the baby out with the bathwater when they changed many thing in 1.0 to 2.0. Lowering the overal specs of the game may be to blame, but it's a shame to see that the system existed previously and were just removed, I feel bad for the people who worked to make those systems work well, just to watch them get cut even if they didn't need to be.
Awesome!Greetings,

Honestly I really don't care about clipping that much. If you eventually fix it then that's great but, personally I prefer variety over fixed clipping.
I really like the newer hairstyles that's been added into the game. Would love to see more long hairstyles added as well, clipping be damned ;P

I'm a male Hyur with the same hair, it does the same to me toobut at the same time it gives it some sense of realism. Imagine a scenario where you did as much fighting as these guy do and your hair stayed perfect and didn't fall behind your clothes / armour at some point :P
Could just start designing the gear not to have any protruding parts past the same point that the longest hair length reaches.![]()

It still had issues of its own. Did you ever sit down in a long robe in 1.0? For me half the time it would flip over on itself so I basically flashed everybody. Also inner linings showing through the cloth, etc.
I wonder if there is a way to render stuff so that if two objects intersect one of the objects stops rendering past that point. For example, if your long hair touches something else like the collar of armor it just stops rendering past that point.

do it like Tera, problem solved
