    Make toptier end game based around 24-man content soon.

    Hello there, SE. I would propose that you make top tier end game into 24 man content instand of 8 man content in the future.

    The reason behind this is due to the fact that as more classes are introduced that means that classes will be more separated by tiers than they are right now. This will make alot of classes into 2.0 warriors, no one wants them in their party and the players playing these classes will have to re-roll, being unable to play their prefered class.

    To fight this I propose you make the top tier end 24 man as you introduce more classes into the game. This is because in a 24 man group there will still be reason to have atleast one of each class due to what they bring to the table that the other classes doesn't. This will help fight an eventual 2.0 War issue that will occur as more classes are introduced.

    Surely the better solution to the problem you outlined is class balance, rather than large raiding groups? If we have a Job A > Job B issue then it'll just result in lots of people investing time into only playing Job A, and forgetting about developing B. Even with a large raid group, if people don't need the less popular/efficient job, then they'll go without it.

    The thing that's going to keep people coming on said job is their own personal preference to how it plays, or a better chance at progression from the greater chance of getting loot. The only other benefit for having other jobs mixed is charging an LB faster, but as we've seen with Crystal Tower, the LB is going to remain as an 4/8 man bar (and for good reason, imagine how much more trolling there would be if it was a 24-man one)

    Also, 24-man groups surely will take longer to get going, especially if they're local world only (just like all top tier content out in the game).

    No thank you.. I rather have the 8 man groups as we have now. CT with its 24 man was bad enough. I also have to agree with Nova, I rather have SE balance the classes accordingly.

    We've experienced the queues already with CT. Solo queuing into CT wasn't too bad other than the idiots constantly withdrawing. We'll have more 24-man stuff (CT2 is next month and you'll be able to queue 24 people), but I don't think there will be much if any 24 person top tier raids. Maybe ones where you can choose your player count.

    Class balance is a very tricky thing usually it will end up as more like a see saw of back and forth between patches... Honestly the only real way to prevent class/job stacking is to penalize it out the wazoo. Beyond that as mor classes and jobs get added it will only be natural for players to gravitate toward xyz job each patch because of what's the current OP classes/jobs for that patch (and invariably what will be the weaker jobs for next patch).

    As far as 24 man content no thanks even if you can get 23 competent people together I don't really see it being much more enjoyable just more of a headache to micromanage and more drama llama when it comes to gear

    One of the best things about FFXI was that you could have a variable number of members for events, which made doing things as a linkshell easier and people were rarely left out. Whether it was Salvage, Dynamis, Einherjar, Sea, Sky, Limbus etc. The best players could also "low-man" or solo things with clever strategy and good gear. When HNM spawn windows clashed you could send different groups out to camp things or split up to farm pop items. Was way more fun than having cliques within the FC. It seemed reasonably balanced too.

    Edit: The flexibility for people to play different jobs was another positive (sub jobs also allowed for flexible roles).

    I understand you think this can be solved by class balance, but it doesn't. The classes in this game is fairly balanced as it is, but that can not be said about the encounters. In 2.0 coil one was so heavily biased towards BRDs it was ridiculous and CT was biased towards Ranged DPS, making some parts almost impossible without them. Also, it is impossible making X classes that works just as well as the other ones for every encounter. This will lead to people not wanting certain classes for certain encounters and with that block the classes from progression. Image when there is more Melee classes. I am pretty sure people will still only want to take 1 melee solely for their LB.
