Great job! your character went all Forest Gump across Eoreza lol wheres you contract to SE??
It was real tricky, but the game does offer a few obscure ways to control your camera. However if Square Enix added a few more options, even some small ones, people could make amazing videos, machinimas, and all. Juust sayingggg :P
Anyway, if you'd really like to know, I'll drop back here when I get home and copy it here, but I've already shared how I did it over on the FFXIV reddit under the Experience Eorzea post![]()
I really like it!
I especially love the time lapse sequences.....I could just watch those foreva!

A great video! I actually had a friend text the link to me earlier (after I had already watched it), and he hasn't played FFXIV for several months! That says something![]()
Okay so, here's how I did it. I've wrote an explanation on reddit, so I'll just copy paste it here.
So there's like a hidden option to save your default camera position. You do this by finding the angle you want, then pressing ctrl+END (if I'm correct). This saves the angle, but it will always default to the back of your character, you'll see ingame what I'm talking about.
Then you go in to your character configuration, and there on the control settings tab there's a section labeled "Standard Type Camera Auto-adjustment". Under that there's an option to auto-adjust the Y axis (on top of the X axis) which you probably want to use. You can also select an option to have the game >always< adjust your camera to your saved angle, or >only when you're moving< or >never<. (Note that the above only works with the Standard Type movement setting)
continued:
After these, I bound the "Flip Camera" action to one of my keys, so I can flip the view and film my character from the front (there are also a few other camera settings that you can bind to your keyboard).
Now, the Zoom is the tricky part. As far as I know there is no way to lock your zoom level (PLEASE SQUARE ENIX!), so what I did was I zoomed fully in on my c@ and counted how many mouse wheel scroll clicks I needed to get to the camera position I wanted. The reason why I did it this way is when you do the mouse wheel clicks, it zooms in/out a set amount of distance, as opposed to the page down and up keys for example.
Your camera settings are saved to your character's configuration file
Makes me want to do my own music video. Very nicely made.

Beautiful. The music goes perfectly with the video. Well done. SquareEnix's marketing execs could learn a few pointers from you!
