iLvl 100 Soldiery gear for white mages

Is there any point to this gear? The jewelry is pretty good, but the gear all has crit on it. I'd take determination over crit any day of the week. Or I'd think so? Determination is a definite gain where crit is a crit chance so it seems like a no brainer. I should mention I'm a white mage, and I'm just wondering should I even bother with lvl 100 soldiery gear? They all have crit so I'm thinking my ilvl 90 myth gear seems preferable.

If the lvl 100 soldiery gear is better can you tell me why?

Do you do Second Coil? Do you have a chance of getting the High Allagan pieces that are "better" than their Soldiery equivalents? If not, you don't really have a choice.

Crit being a "chance" and Det being the superior option always are also cop-outs. Det's contribution to heals, point for point, is very minor. So is Crit's. And Speed's. And PIE. None of them matter that much. Weapon Damage and MND are still king.

I do turn 2, it's a joke. Medica 2, Medica until Medica 2 runs out, rinse repeat.

I really don't notice that big of a difference with either types, I feel like they add such a small amount that you don't notice it. I've heard people say that Determination gives more overall heals than crits, but I have no way to know if that's true.

So do you think I should stick with the crit jewelery from the tomes instead of the Allagan determination?

It's no different before when the myth gear favored SCH more than WHM. In order to increase the number of SCH players SE purposely made gearing them up with BiS easier.

That being said, it is true that WHM is gimped when it comes to the usefulness of any secondary stats so getting the Soldiery set isn't the end of the world (I'm getting it regardless because I don't have good RNG luck and any +MND is an upgrade)

I think it will be very beneficial is you have both whm and sch ^^;
TBH, my whm feel the different while SS drops so much at the beginning. The timing I used to start casting often missed.
Ofcoz I have no problem and can't feel it after serveral battles.

mm get the peices with piety (body breeches belt?) and the jewelry you need, anything else fill with i90 pentamelds with full det?

At least the soldiery weapon is amazing. If you're clearing T7 be sure to set aside 1300 soldiery for it asap.

I tried the crit gear and then the determination right after, I definitely think that the Det was better.

I also think I was using Cure 2 too much when a Cure 1 would suffice so I'm saving a lot of mana. I guess crit and Det/SS just boil down to preference. I'll prob get the soldiery stuff but will def do turns to get the better stuff.

And I thought second coil meant turn 2, I haven't tried 6-9 yet. Having trouble with t4 pphase 5 mobs aggro me every time.
