well is not hard to offer the whole ost+the minion in Digital download. they simply want to sell the physical version, i can understand this and i'm sure people will still buy it even if the digital version exist.
they simply need to make it happend!

Part of the appeal of the Physical version is it's more than just the MP3s. You get full 24 bit/96khz audio as well.

Not taken. A lot of names of characters from previous FF games (i.e. "Cloud" "Squall" "Sephiroth") are not allowed for this very reason. A few of their derivatives are locked, too. That's why you see so many Klouds, Flouds, Sheffiross, and even Spiroths.

I remember there was an NPC at Camp Tranquil in 1.0 that asked if your name was XxSephirothxX and talked about how tough it was to tell adventurers apart because they all have similar names.

The reason the soundtracks are not available for sale in Greece is very simple. It is most likely one or both of the two following things.

1.) The copyright laws in Greece do not allow SE to sell their soundtrack there, or make it too expensive for them to sell it there and it's just not worth the effort to them.

2.) They do not have their own distribution office in Greece and there is no distributor in your country that has paid SE Japan the licensing fee required to buy the right to distribute the soundtrack in your country.

Neither of these are SE's fault. They cannot force a distributor in your area to buy the license, and opening an office of their own may not be financially worth the effort for them. They did not make international copyright laws, but they are required to follow them. And they are entitled to be paid by distributors in areas where they are unable to distribute themselves for the products that they have created with their hard work. They are also entitled to pass you over if it requires too much effort or money on their part to get through your country's copyright laws. Either go through a third party (which, by the way, is usually CHEAPER), urge a distributor in your area to license the soundtracks for sale in Greece, or contact your lawmakers about a change to Greece's international copyright laws.

And if you wanted to play FFXIV 1.x, you should have bought it when it originally came out several years ago. They probably could have used your support. It's not their fault that you failed to buy their product when you had the chance. You have no one to blame for missing out on the 1.x content but yourself. If you really, really, really want to see the storyline, you can easily youtube it. As for the items, you missed your chance by not buying and playing the game when it was originally released. The reason 1.0 was never released on PS3 was because the game flopped hardcore, and they put all of their effort into making it playable and providing content to the people who were still hanging in there and supporting them on the PC version. If the game you made is a failure, putting the money and effort into releasing it on another platform is the equivalent of fiscal suicide. This is simple economics here, not brain surgery. It doesn't take a genius to figure it out.

Sheesh, and people say we Americans are spoiled, entitled brats. I mean, we kinda are, but we're clearly not the only ones. Seriously dude, all of your problems can be solved by spending 14 seconds doing a google search or two. Childishly demanding that SE respond to you is not likely to get a response out of them, especially when what you demand from them can easily be found by politely asking forum goers here, using your own common sense, or through very little effort on your own. Next time, try thinking before exploding at those who are not even at fault. It'll save everyone involved a whole lot of trouble and headache.

By Square-Enix announcing FINAL FANTASY XIV in E3 2009 for PC and PLAYSTATION 3, they deceived me into buying a PLAYSTATION 3 to play what they promised to play.
They deceived me. I could upgrade my PC back then with the 400 Euros.

Also, don't tell me about external sites. I speciically e-mailed Play-Asia and they specifically replied:

"We can't guarranty the code will be available."


So, you're wrong, and 2 in-game items not being available to a subscriber who pays the same as another subscriber, and put the same effort as the other subscribe, is not acceptable.

Every single post in this topic except yours, is ridiculous.
People throw in ridiculous accusations too like saying "You should have supported 1.0" when I clearly explained I did and Square-Enix failed me, or that the fact some people got the PS4 version for free is somehow relevant to this isse, or even more ridiculous and braindead stuff, like someone criticising me for my username, thinking it's something else when it's in fact my real name, like if it even was what he cluelessly thought it was, it would mean something, etc.

I am not asking for any *gift*, and I have zero entitlements.
I just demand the services Square-Enix owns me by accepting my payment, and I mean the same opportunities or all in-game items as everyone who pays the same, as was clearly explained by Mr. Yoshida on his description of the subscription payment method choice.

I am sure SE would have loved the 1st edition to succeed and release the PS3 edition. Sadly it didn´t happen, but it isn´t like they completely dropped the entire game. They remade it from ground up and released ARR. Which was also released to PS3, so I hardly see how they deceived you in the end.
Also haven´t there been other great games you played on the PS3 in the meantime? If not then that is quite a pity, because there are some great games for the console.

As for the PS4, it was merely people mentioning you can upgrade to the PS4 edition for free if you have a PS3 through the Mogstation. (Until the end of the year that is).

I can understand your frustration that the SE store doesn´t officially send merchandises to your country. Personally I would have liked that the SE store was better as well. Both in having more items that is exclusive to the JP store, as well as better delivery methods.
At least the OST isn´t impossible to get through certain simple means, and the code isn´t region locked. Although for the code it is important you pre-order it in time, especially in regards to ordering it from external sites such as CDjapan, and Yes-Asia.

I don´t make a habit of commenting about strangers, however if the way you are acting isn´t something that can be called entitled, then I dunno what is.

You mentioned about people having the same opportunities by having a subscription. Yet you have no qualm about purchasing the OST for the code. Which is something that I would say doesn´t have much to do about having a subscription.
It is merely a bonus that comes with the OST, granted people have joked about it being a minion that comes with the OST as a bonus.
It isn´t like this will be the only exclusive items that will be unavailable to other. Certain event such as Lightning event related gear won´t likely be available to future subscribers.

tl;dr Eat a snicker, you are acting entitled. You weren´t deceived. PS4 upgrade is free to everyone that has a PS3. SE Store does need to be improved. There will always be something that will be unlikely or impossible to get for future subcribers. It is not the end of the world.
