Grats! What was the recipe? Did it require any expensive rare materials (Glazenut, light steel plate etc.)?
Ancient lumber wolfram ingot and wildfowl feather
So yeah 1000 myths worth
I got my bsm weaver cul and gsm working on alc ATM
My fc friend has crp ltw and is working on arm
So between us we are well prepared lol
I spent every moment since 2.2 dropped working my butt off to get up to making a summoning bell for my house. Finally did it about a week ago, and it is unbelievably convenient having one in your house along with vendors, menders, and a chest. I made another one to sell a couple days ago....and was immediately undercut by somebody who apparently got it from a quick venture within hours of me putting up for sale the first summoning bell on our server. I laughed, I cried, I undercut back. But I will sell that bell for over 2 million or die trying, lol.
Now, I'm burning the midnight oil to get gsm and arm up to spec so I can make me that badass leviathan barding.
The barding on my server is 250k which is terribly priced imo. The Gold Ingot alone nets at least 200k and the Barb itself another 50k. 0 profit markup there is no money there for us unfortunately. Not sure if these are Venture items being sold for dirt cheap but its getting really annoying.
It sold for 1 mil once on ours, bu I'm not making that to sell, lol. The barb alone cost me 150k (twice, cuz Wavesoul Fount), and that was cheap compared to its usual prices.
I'm noticing that nobody really is buying 3-star stuff on the mb due to the prices of mats and difficulty in making them putting the sell price far too high to justify even the richest people on our server spending money on them. It seems for most vanity things like the barding, spring dresses, and such, people are seeking out crafters outside the board and bringing the mats to them to make for reduced prices.
I actually sold a spring skirt on our server (mateus) for 750k last night prob could of got more tbh
Mostly all of the 3star crafters on my server have crafted 1 of each 3star gear and put it on the AH just to watch them sit there. They have now resorted to large scale Shout Barking "3star Crafter Looking for Work" even putting up PFs advertising. Seems as though there is no market for them on the AH and that most people would rather seek out a crafter to craft the item at a discount.
I've always wondered how other 3star crafters go about pricing. How do you price an item/service if the customer is supplying all the matts vs. no matts at all.
I'm pretty much 3star ready on all my crafts but i have yet to make anything besides HQ Terminus Putty as i'm too scared to invest Myth on SaurianSkin, Shcheelite, Radz if the end products are only going to sit on the MB (selling T.Putty has been profitable for me so far and i'm contemplating just doing this).
Its almost like obtaining all of the Artisan Tools/crafting 3stars is the easy part. Selling/Marketing yourself seems to be the hard part for me at least. I have been trying to wrap my head around some kind of business model with no such luck.
At this point i've moved to farming Myth to buy the matts, im' just not sure what to do next. Either mass craft 3stars to put on MB or shout bark and come up with some kind of pricing model. I only wish that there was a Crafting Community where we can all agree on some kind of shared business model so as to not undercut eachothers profits.
