I am guessing that you are one of the many people that didn't notice during the stream that he was a level 1 LNC (I think it was LNC. I know it wasn't PLD, and it was level 1), but was wearing PLD AF. Nothing in the stream could be taken as "This must be how things are going to be." My LNC is level 35, and I still can't wear PLD AF, so I must be doing something wrong.
My point is; NOTHING was SAID about pricing. People just made crazy assumptions based on something they saw in a video that was intended ONLY to show how the house purchasing process worked. Just like I made a crazy assumption about LNC being able to wear PLD AF (I obviously didn't assume this. It was just to make my point).

The question was point blank raised about the amount of gil being required in the early video. The response then was to not worry too much about the pricing and that it would more than likely be lower than what was shown in the demo.I am guessing that you are one of the many people that didn't notice during the stream that he was a level 1 LNC (I think it was LNC. Could you please provide a source for that? All I remember is that the only answer they would give is that they were monitoring the economy, and would base the prices on that. I don't remember anything being said about the price in the video.
I will see what I can do but it will take me a while to dig through the Dev Tracker. The video I'm thinking of was shown before the whole "monitoring the economy" bit.
Except in some interview they did say FC housing was going to be approximately 3 times the amount a person earns by doing all the quests and missions when leveling from 1-50. Then it ended up being 5.5-100 million more. xD
