    Lag and Freeze Up

    I thought one of the things the latest maintenance was targeting to fix was lag, or did I dream that up? I'm lagging now more than ever to the point of freeze up in certain areas, requiring logging out, which always fixed the problem until now. Sometimes it takes multiple logging in and outs.

    you did dream it up. the maintenance was to fix a problem with character rollbacks:

    At the following time, we will be performing maintenance on FINAL FANTASY XIV to replace hardware equipment as a countermeasure against the ongoing issue, announced on Jun. 13, of prolonged rollback of character data that some players may experience. During this period, FINAL FANTASY XIV will be unavailable.

    My gf and i are lagging more then ever i always get 39-48FPS in city and 50-60FPS outside now i'm getting 30 and something just goes down to 5fps in city for 1-2sec and go back to 30-40fps i think the game having big issue with lag.

    As far as in game goes, I usually get a series of little half second freeze-ups as character models are loaded when I run through a city, but the game has never frozen on me (crashes to desktop every now and then, though).

    I started taking FPS drops as well. Started yesterday I think.

    i was getting like 45-60 in field and 30-40 in town
    now I am getting 30-40 in field and 15-25 in town
