    Create More Ways to Acquire Atma: Through Dungeons, Guildhests and quality of life

    Primary Goal:
    Create different methods of gaining Atma

    Short Version
    Problem:
    Due to low drops rates many players feel frustration from farming FATEs to acquire atma, there is only one method to acquire Atma

    Solution:
    To alleviate some players woes create a random drop table, of all atmas, upon completion of a dungeon, and or guildhest.

    Benefits:
    -Players can work towards progressing their Atma weapons
    -Acquiring their soldiery and myth
    -They will have more variety in acquiring Atmas
    -Players will feel a better sense of progression
    -players can participate in duty roulette and still work towards their atmas
    -more incentive to participate in duty roulette

    Secondary Goal:
    Create a character configuration settings to "Auto Level Sync" when within range of a FATE

    Problem:
    Some players, new and old, can not always succeed in a FATE because of configuration to Level Sync to a FATE resulting in a lower score, and often not even participating in the FATE, due to the vast number of players participating in FATEs

    Solution:
    Create an "Auto Level Sync" setting.

    Benefit:
    -Players can choose to participate in fates with ease and struggle less to rush to the level sync
    -Players can turn off the Hud in the UI for the duty list, if they choose to.

    -Note-
    You can macro a level sync bind key or enter a command in the chat.
    The command is as follows;
    /lsync

    Some players would prefer not to press a button every time they need to level sync a level sync setting
    may still be preferred by some players.

    They did add a macro command to level sync. Should prob bind it somewhere for ease of use.

    i had the same opinion as you, that atma is just mindless time consuming grind.Actually, SE did this only because people asked for open world content(lol). I agree that more ways of acquiring atmas is good only because the grind begins after and atma is just a visual (!) pleasure with no real upgrade. However, i started this week doing some fates although i got nervous on the 2nd fate already but slowly i started getting them. I put some music and i all i did was doing up to 10 fates in each area, if i didnt get something i changed area. So far i have 2 atma left but this "strategy" worked pretty well for me. Yesterday in 2-3 hours i got 4 just by changing areas. Maybe i am just lucky...

    I did not know that! Thank you for the information! I would be extremely grateful for more details on that macro if you could please provide it!

    However, adding the setting would be a quality of life thing, thus is of low priority, that way players don't have to create another bind to be able to conveniently level sync.

    Congratulations! I hope you get all your atmas in a timely manner!

    This was an excellent way to get players out into the open world, it succeeded in a sense, but players want to immerse themselves in Eorzea, I know I want to

    search the nooks and crannies for secrets and lore! Players will enjoy the open world more if they don't have to rush to get to a FATE and focus on their map to see

    where the next FATE is!

    Thank you both for your input! I have come up with another suggestion to FATEs and I will have to create another thread!

    Thank you! I have credited you in the first post!

    With the release of patch 2.25 SE has made it clear that at least for the next part of the Zodiac Quest,

    the "novus" will have multiple methods of obtaining the necessary upgrade items!

    However I hope SE also considers such methods with Atma. Looking forward to Patch 2.28!

    Lets continue providing feedback on all aspects of the game and see what SE decides to do!

    Now, everyone can likely agree that FATES being the only method of progression is not terribly fun or fulfilling, so I have three solutions that may help with this:
    Make the Atmas drop even without the Zenith equipped, needing only Up in Arms completed.
    This has the added benefit of allowing a player to level a different class through FATEs at their own leisure, effectively allowing a player to eventually get more options for playing.
    Tweak FATE rewards to scale with level.
    This allows a player to choose any area to their liking, and still acquire the same reward. This also leads to a more linear progression that synergizes with the prospect of leveling a different class while acquiring their Atmas.

    The last one is optional:
    Increase rewards for FATE success.
    This should bring FATEs on par with dungeons, once again offering additional options for a player's progress.
    Time needed to complete a FATE versus time taken to complete a dungeon should be taken into consideration to bring both of these into equilibrium. Failure to do so will result in either things continuing along the state they are, or area congestion.
    Successful implementation has the added benefit of providing DPS classes with some content variety while their wait for their chronically-long queue times.
    I defer to game designers more experienced than your typical gamer for this. If you go along this path, proceed carefully.

    I realized now that threatening to quit isn't going to work, and neither would boycotting the game. This is an extension of the litigious nature of many myriad entities: "I'll angrily threaten to get what I want". This is not effective, nor conducive to a healthy... well, anything.

    The best way to be heard is to calmly offer solutions. Maybe they'll listen, maybe they won't. If all else fails, I'll pace myself through the atmas just as I paced myself through the Zenith weapons and enjoy it as best I can, relic or not.

    ...I do wish the story weapon did not rely on RNG, though.

    The skill based weapons lie within the second turn of coil, and buried in the scales of Leviathan's rotten corpse. The Zodiac weapon lineage is intended as an alternate route for those players that are not running coil and downing the extreme modes, who, can put in a few hours here and there and eventually get a prize.

    Additionally, they released the Zodiac questline to players with the preface that it was RNG based and it was a very low percentage. They in fact do care about players, because many players previously complained that Relics were too easy to get and they got bored a few weeks after patch as there was nothing to work towards. They are attempting to straddle the desires of both casual and hardcore player bases with the Solidery Wpns vs the Atma Wpns.
