I feel like there is a lot of complaining on this thread now. People complained for weeks that there was a problem so they decided to work on it. People then complain anyway. They have statistics that show a significant portion of the player base doesn't have this yet so they are planning on tweaking it to improve that. Players complain anyway. They say they need to do more work on the next quest so that the gathered items are available in multiple ways so that we avoid a similar farm to the atma situation. Players complain anyway. Some people think they should be special snowflakes because they worked real hard to get their Animus and are now hurt that it might be easier to get soon. Seriously guys? Every content that gets outdated in this game becomes easier to do. It's the design strategy that overwhelmingly controls this game. You had your weapon for a few weeks when other people didn't. That was your grace period of awesomeness. It has now passed. Get over it. It's not a slap in the face. Everybody saw it coming.

It seems like they are gonna take into account our feelings with atma/animus, and maybe revise the next instalment of the quest in light of said feedback. Either way, I don't care, still on 1st book xD

I feel like there is a lot of complaining on this thread now.

That has to do with how it was worded. There's a lot of contradictions and loopholes especially when it points fingers to those that haven't bothered investing the time of day to care about grinding for their atma.


Many players still have yet to obtain an Animus weapon.: Aside from the "and what of it", it doesn't justify the delay in anyway.
We would like to incorporate feedback regarding the difficulty of the Zodiac Weapon quests.: There's been "feedback" since the launch of 2.2 so why is this a thing now?
We are working to increase the number of locations where materials for the next upgrade can be obtained.: Why can't they just release the "fix" in 2.28 instead of delaying it overall?
I apologize for the delay, but those of you looking to obtain the power of "Novus" will be able to do so in patch 2.28, scheduled to release in May.: Wouldn't of had to apologize if "Novus" was released in 2.25 and the fix in 2.28.

That is my issue with how it was approached.

I don't mind delays as long as they are honest and don't give runarounds and blame players in the process.

I know some of our players have been looking forward to the continuation of the Zodiac Weapons quests that I mentioned in the recent letter LIVE, but the release of these new quests has been postponed. Our reasoning for this decision is, in brief:

Many players still have yet to obtain an Animus weapon.
We would like to incorporate feedback regarding the difficulty of the Zodiac Weapon quests.
We are working to increase the number of locations where materials for the next upgrade can be obtained.

Come on, you guys only have to wait like another month or so to do more grinding after potentially doing hundreds of FATEs for the current 3rd, sometimes 4th best weapon for your class. It'll be okay. I'm not laughing at all.

It's funny that you find it funny that this 3rd or 4th best weapon has so many people on the fence considering this is for many people one of the few, if not only option of getting a decent endgame weapon.
Aside from the gathering methonds for the materials relic weapons are the only weapons which are accessible to everyone.

The other options require you to clear content that most of the playerbase hasn't.
Leviathan weapon: A lot of people haven't even cleared Titan let alone Ifrit Ex yet, which is one of the requirements to even access the fight.
Allagan: Even with the Echo implemented plenty of people are still struggling to clear even Turn 4. Apart from that once shaped into Animus most weapons will beat Allagan.
Metalworks: Needs a Turn 6 drop, I refer back to my coil comment.

The relic is for a lot of people the only option for getting a good weapon.

I don't understand the people complaining about being "behind." So what if you haven't gotten your animus yet. Releasing the next stage for people who have gotten their animus already in no way whatsoever means you can't finish your animus. If by allowing progress they had to stop your ability to get the weapon, fine I understand, but animus isn't a limited time only offer. You will get it when you get it, but it shouldn't hold others back in the meantime.
