2.0 spoiler "alert"
Turn 3 and 4 are parts of a spaceship within a network of caves
The ancient allag were aliens. They left to their home planet eons ago.
I can maybe see the ancient allagans as ancient aliens or at the very least making space ships to leave hydeline due to it becoming inhospitable.
Think out it: final fantasy4, 7, 8, 9 had space ships. If they can send dalamud in space then I can see them at least escaping the astral era.
What if -like ff4 lunarians- they went to the moon and are in deep sleep
And then this spaceship got caught up in a wormhole and got thrown into the past 1,000 years prior where upon they visited the "Earthmen."I can maybe see the ancient allagans as ancient aliens or at the very least making space ships to leave hydeline due to it becoming inhospitable.

I was totally aware of turn 3 and 4 being that way but I never realized how explicit it was until now, nice catch. Still, would love to see little grey men like xfiles even if for comedic relief :P
I can't confirm this because I don't have the game in front of me ATM but I'm fairly sure that if you look at their description in the DF you can read that the ship is called Ragnarok too. If the Allagans we're native to an other planet or from Hydaelyn, if they simply left by space-ship or if all of them were stuck into the planet is unknown. (Granted I have not explored Part 2 of Coil, people whom have done so may have gotten answers to some of those questions.)
FF7 had toilets.... the whole first disk had crazy stuff like that..... climbing through one stall to spy on shinra's hq meeting..... the guy that had the runs that you had to give an elixer to..... when dressing up for don corneo
they are swords, not ships.I can't confirm this because I don't have the game in front of me ATM but I'm fairly sure that if you look at their description in the DF you can read that the ship is called Ragnarok too. The Ragnarok is one of the swords that held dalamud together, and the various locations in side the great labyrinth (like the central drive core) kept it powered so it could retain bahamut's fury.
Technically Cecil and Golbez from FFIV were aliens (The Lunarian race as a whole) and I guess you could make a case for Galuf and crew from FFV.
