The pricing is overpriced, thàts why people don't buy it. You should also consider that the gear is more beneficial only when fully melded which adds another chunk of gil to the purchase price.
Do not forget that i70 was completely new. Coil was new too, there was no i80 only after a few months. Now people know that the i90 craftables are a matter of weeks before they become useless (if you run Coil). The soldiery gear is better too.
Im glad that crafters can't craft the best gear in game. It's not a skill to have your friend craft you te best gear or save up money and buy it (which actually is some sort of a skill).
What SE needs to do is let crafters craft amazing looking gear. No stats on them. You know why people will still buy it? Glamour, I would.. This game cries for options to not look like the other 16000 thousend casters, or the other 5 tanks on a server. xD

The various suggestions that crafting should focus more on vanity gear are good ones if you think the focus of crafting should be to make money. I can still sell blue fox hide, which has been available for a while now, for about 40-65k on Leviathan. Mariner Cotton Cloth goes for about 60-100k and Dress Material upwards of 150k and those are all just the materials to make the vanity items. This is stuff people really want and are willing to pay a premium for.

It depends on how you view it. Crafted and pentamelded gears are largely a niche market - you will first need to see it's worth and have the gil to speak and willing to spend it.
TBH on my server, the buyers are mainly dedicated raiders/progression teams that have made some handsome gils selling runs. Some of them are buying because they had the gil and couldn't be bothered with farming T5 and RNG, for example, Bard's T5 accuracy pants.
Due to the fact that the weathered i100 head, hand, waist and feet provides only +3 main stat and most of them comes with crappy secondary stats such as Skill Speed, many of them aren't BiS. Some pieces, the loss in secondary stats is as large as 12-18 critical/determination and by stat weightage calculation, it would have completely negated the +3 primary stat gain or even reduce it to +1, which is quite "unproductive" to spend 375/495 ToS on.
Alternatively, a pentamelded i90 head, hand, waist and feet, due to the extra secondary stats vs the myth i90, could make them equal to the i100 weathered versions (since +3 primary stats would largely mean +18-21 sec stats which is easy to meld with tier IV materias). With this, you could instantly gear your left side to i100 level worth of stats while either focusing your ToS on the accessories side (if they are BiS/worth to buy) or save up for i110 weapons.
It takes a crafter to forego their launch time to farm myth (which could have been used to upgrade to Animus) to get the myth mats, and probably fail a few times before knowing a decent rotation to make the 3 star base mats. And before that, they have to craft 60 new 2 star item to exchange for the new gear and since most gears need the Termus Putty, they probably need to do master alchemist on top of weaver/leather/armor. That's hell lot of time and of course, gil to invest in the first place. And thus we need to charge accordingly taking into account of our own costs and time (opportunity costs) we invested.
Of course not everyone appreciates the above nor have the means to appreciate the above, and thus it is largely niche and most profitable during new patches.
Nonetheless I agree that the crafted gears needs to look.. better. Most of them are just re-skins of older gears which is kinda.. irritating. TBH i90 crafted are pretty ugly.
EDIT: And no, coil actually is the reason why people are buying i90 crafted (not really vanity tbh). And the way 2.2 goes for gearing, it makes it even more worth while.
One good example is the Cashmere Skirt of Aiming. If you can't seem to get the Allagan Trousers of Aiming to drop from T5 or just simple sick of farming Twintania, then I think it's a good buy. I melded the same +34 accuracy and on top of that, I gained +9 crit and +34 skill speed vs the Allagan.
The High Allagan Breeches of Aiming is a Turn 8 drop which will not be accessible to most people for quite some time. The ToS pants is largely junk even at i110 state. And the thing is, both versions lack accuracy, so you'll take some time to boost acc from other pieces before dropping the 34 acc from pants. And as such this piece of gear is going to last, it might even spiritbond to 100% (mine is already at 36% bonded).

Seems to me the only issue is the prices people want to charge for materials and finished crafts...
God you are so lucky. On Phoenix, about 3 body for tanks sold, all for about 2 millions.
The thing is there is a HUGE investment for any of those pieces, so obviously they will not be a lot of demand. If you want to sell more, advertise by shouting for people that would bring their own myth items, if you can 100% HQ, then sell your services at a reasonnable price. I would love to have the opportunity to acquire some of those gears, but at those prices it is just not possible.
the real trouble is not the fact that dungeon give more better stuff... but more the fact that for make this stuff in craft you will need to invest a lot of time and gil. get a HQ is not assured and will demande rare mat.
that the trouble, SE don't want Crafted gears to be at the same level than raiding gear? fine... then make it easier to make. the price reflect sadly how hard to obtain HQ material for make it is hard.
SE make the craft be hard as in the other MMORPG but at the same time, make it not worth the time and money invest... it weird and stupid.
if they don't want to give crafter a role, why make class soo well develloped? why make it soo demanding? they really need to think at a way to give crafter a true role. since crafting raid gear is out of the question.
There are really 3 ways now for ilvl90 gear: myth tomes, coil drops, crafted. All need time and effort, different kind of effort.
The relationship between the price/difficulty of crafting ilvl90 and the price that would be reasonable to obtain might be the problem if there is one.
Crafted ilvl 70 gear were also very expensive compared to Darklight in 2.1. Only impatient gil rich or crafters would buy a full set instead of obtaining philo tomes.
Now myth tomes are easier to obtain, myth gear is easier than it was to get, Coil is not the only way that has got easier to obtain gear.
Crafted ilvl90 has to be expensive so that it's not the easiest way to go for everybody.

What????
Last I looked (couple days ago), Adamantoise had everything over 1 mil, many over 2mil. Only thing I saw that was under 1 mil were the Healer glasses. (and the Tidal Barding, but that's something else)
If the prices were like that I'd buy some things.
your insane prices are causing people not to buy stuff, i'd like to have some of those high end gears but the prices are way higher than i could ever afford , i think crafters lost the touch on how much gil people have in general and are able to spend on stuff, thats why you not sell much , not coil
for me it seems easier to just level my own crafter to the point i can make my own than save that amount of gil
