This actually sounds cute, but way too time consuming because of what I assume is a low spawn rate. SE really needs to look into the spawn rate of... like... everything.

People complained about wanting open-world rare mobs and long-term grindy quests. The egg spriggans are among the former - they have specific spawn points (there must be a list by now), long respawns (1 hour minimum), and most of the time reward garbage.
I'm a little bitter over that 4-hour gold egg turning into a G5 leatherworking crystal.
I was ready to do some world searching until I read this thread. So I gave up and went to do my daily quests.
Found a spriggan hiding behind a steel wagon on top of the hill at Southern Thanalan (19,25). Dropped a silver egg.
I killed 2 after the death of one of them fate spawned with spriggans, all dropped bronze eggs.
It's like you guys never went Hatching Tide egg hunting before.
They really need to up the spawn rate on these spriggans. Every two or so hours is too long. Same with the spawn rate on Eggcelsior and What's Yours Is Mine

People have given a lot of location in there
A friend of mine opened his 10 Bronze Eggs and got 1 HQ Apkallu Egg, 3 Silver Allagan Pieces, and the rest were various Grade 1 glamour prisms.
If the Gold Egg really does have a chance to give a Spriggan Cap, that'll be the only thing motivating me to do the hunt. I don't need or want prisms.
