Female characters are supposed to be eye candy.
Female characters are supposed to be eye candy.
In case you are wondering, it clips on Roe M's as well.
Having said that, the armor looks really neat. However, under closer inspection I noticed it has "Nipple armor". I'm not joking, it has 2 special circular plates protecting the nipples. I don't quite know what to make out of it...
Ummmm where are your nipples....? If anything is protecting the 'nipples' its the 'leather straps'. lol
You should have bought an authenticator.....
Your tears feed me....
If that is really the case why is this thread explicitly about females? Because it looks just as bulky on male characters.
Having that said, a tank is a tank. Not satisfied? Reroll or glamour.
Glamour is an option yes, but I agree this body looks very odd on females no matter what the race.
In my opinion this is just a byproduct of SE prioritizing quantity over quality.
Do not mistake the above as saying there is no quality because there is. It is just taking a back seat.
This is the reason they gave for making all races have the same animations and the reason they gave for changing some of the models from 1.x.
They made the choice to streamline things so they could pump out more in less time. Wile at times it sucks, they have in fact been putting out a ton in a short time.
Making a reworked version for females or males that isn't just removing or stretching something slows down the process yo.

Just got this armor. Haven't really seen any other midlander with this armor on so I wasnt sure about it being bulky also applied to female midlanders. It looked alright on the previews where a female roe was wearing the black version.
But wow...it's like an M-sized person wearing XXL t-shirt. I don't have any hopes of it being fixed since from the beginning their stance is that they're lazy that they would rather make new stuff than go back and fix things. Disappointing, really.
To each their own I guess. I think it looks fine on my character really.
Functional armor isn't going to look sexy, guys.
I'm honestly pretty happy it's gender neutral instead of having an exposed stomach or cleavage "just because".
By the way, it looks way less bulky if you wear longer gloves like PLD AF/Myth gauntlets or Crafted gauntlets as the arm parts get covered up by it. I believe my friend said one of the crafted items matches really well with the Lorica.
If it is the one you buy with the soldiery, level 100... It fits just awesome in my opinion.... I'm not using glamours yet because I want to craft them (I'm one of those that doesn't like to pay money to other players, just save it or waste it in NPCs, or if have to give money to players, just as present)
Is awesome my paladin and warrior can both wear it!... And looks cool, it was a good way to spent soldiery, in my honest opinion.
This isn't about the lack of exposed stomach or cleavage though. If you switch back between heavy allagan, warrior myth, paladin myth, and the lorica quickly, you'll see that the lorica's torso is several sizes larger than the other 3 and are really apparent when you're wearing gauntlet glamours and the elbow guard is gone. The abs are also raised higher than the warrior relic's abs with the belt raised way higher than the other armors' waists. This is mainly due to the pecs. They're wider but their height is also shorter and raised higher. The metal skirt is also jutting out to the sides on the hips as if it's being padded for all races and gender, similar to female skirts atm (flat buttocks when wearing no skirt but wear a skirt and it'll look as if it's not flat but that's another issue), which bothers me quite a bit because it looks just plain weird.Functional armor isn't going to look sexy, guys.

I've also been looking around in mordhona for people with noct lorica and I've only seen one specific combination that does not look weird with noct lorica. Male roes. Male hyurs, male elezens, male miqotes all look as if their torso fattened up. Male elezens look like twigs with a barrel on their stomach. This armor makes it look like they all have smaller heads than normal.
I conclude that the team who made this, modeled the armor with male roegadyns as the base, copy pasted the armor on every other race and gender, resized it and then high-fived before calling it a day.
