Eww fps games. I find it just as silly as people wanting to play football games all day. Not my thing. But that repetitiveness is a better grind then looking for atma.

This isn't a grind, it's a slot machine. If you read most of the comments, we have no problem with the grinding. It's the rng part that's a problem. People getting all 12 in 1 day is not a grind for them. It's luck.

Why do you care how long it takes for someone else?

Never understood why people need to compare themselves to others when it comes to how fast they get things.

Some people like to enjoy their gaming experiences and RNG is detrimental to that for them.

This isn't about being handed anything, we just want a set goal, I would happily grind 20 fates for one atma, I may not do that all in one day for all 12 but I could spread it across 1 or 2 weeks and be perfectly happy with it.

I just do and not comparing myself to anyone, just this rng is stupid. There isn't anything showing that the person put in any type of work to get it. I can ask you the same thing; why do you care about what I care about? Will you lose any sleep over it? No. But yet you still wanted to know why.

People keep defending this, saying it's suppose to be a grind so stop complaining. Or some people keep saying this is what we asked for, a grind that will give us something to do. A grind is collect or do x amount of whatever. Some one could finish it in 3 days while another probably a month. The difference is that both had done exactly the same achievement, showing their progression and it wasn't based on luck. It's based on the work they have done.

Firstly, lay off the word "masochist" as you tend to use it when you end up contradicting your point - Secondly, what if people enjoy something you don't? Why does that make them a masochist just because YOU DON'T LIKE IT?

This isn't about being handed anything, we just want a set goal
So if it's not about being handed anything and you want a goal, you do know getting 12 atmas even at present format is a goal, right? You want to be guaranteed atma drops rather than it being random, meaning you want it handed to you is what some of them are saying, because both formats are still a goal as the purpose is to get 12 atmas, is it not?

Definition of goal, incase you've forgotten:

the object of a person's ambition or effort; an aim or desired result.
    Keywords:
    -Effort
    -Desired result

Your desired result = 12 Atmas. How you get it doesn't change what the overall goal is.

I dont' think I contradicted myself.

You are in fact contradicting yourself though as enjoying something that is painful, stressful and generally not considered fun by the majority (and yes I am willing to bet that RNG and grind is not enjoyed by the majority) is indeed masochistic.

No need to be pedantic, I appreciate that Atma farming does have a goal but it is a flexible one due to the RNG, it is by no means set because it can take any amount of time to complete.

You obviously understood what I meant by "set goal" yet are trying to just be awkward and argumentative for the sake of it.

    I didn't read all.
Those complaining a bit with the system in place, would it be better for you if every FATE would drop one Atma?
Please consider that SE would update the needed amount too!!!!

Atm we have a drop chance like 10%, from what I read. You could be lucky and find them all in one day.
If the drop chance would be 100% you would have to farm 10-20 or more Atmas to finish one.

    Conclusion:
Be careful what you whish for.

    I like Random-Number-Generator
'cause I'm able to accept that
a dice normally has six sides
    a pyramid has 5 sides
    a toast has 2 sides
AND I CAN'T PREDICT WHICH SIDES IT FALLS TO.

See, you're making the assumption that what is painful to you = painful to someone else. Some people like the "old school grind", does that mean it's painful for them if they enjoy it just because it's painful to you? Some people despise tanking and healing roles and find it a painful experience, yet some people absolutely love it, does that make them a masochist?

I'm at 0/12 with that same time investment. It's really easy to say "calm down" when you've got yours.

It's all about feedback. I don't mind weekly caps for tomestones, I don't mind weekly resets for Coil. All in all, that doesn't bother me because I can see where my effort should be spent. Spending that time trying to farm Atma and getting ZERO for that effort is insulting, boring, frustrating, and a waste of my time.
