Suggestion to avoid those lovely people who quit dungeon soon as they enter....

you also have to remember that there are many tanks that use the roulette to "join party in progress". if it starts at the beginning they'll just drop and try again later. this is one of the reasons i've always said it'd be best to make that option as it's own option where you could click to join full run or one in progress completely independent.

i've also had many times someone would quit in one group and someone would ask in fc if someone minded joining to help out as a dps or healer(as i do not tank at all). i'd join and select join in progress option only to get stuck at the start of another dungeon. i only joined to help someone out due to a rage quitter and did not want to run a full dungeon. with the op's idea i'd just tell the member sorry not helping because i don't want to take the chance of not getting in their party and losing my bonus.

The issue i find is that people queue to solely try pair up with their friends.. which i dont really understand.. its like a 20-30min separation.

This isn't really an abuse. As I understand it, it's just easier for them to do upto the 2nd boss for tomes/gear, rather than the full dungeon, and it works out as being more profitable for their time. Its just like the groups that clear the first area of AV then restart it.

With that said though, they shouldn't be doing this in DF. If they want to do something special with their run (only upto certain boss, speed runs, etc) they should form their group through party finder/with their friends, or make sure EVERYONE in df agrees with it.

If they want to bail and eat the 30 minute penalty, I say let them. I don't think we need to slap them on the wrist anymore than that. It's their choice.

Some people are just lazy, none of the dungeon are even hard to tank, sure some takes a bit more time but if you are going to queue for something make sure you have time for it. I queue roulette as tank most of the time nowadays, better rewards and bonus and I have never leave a dungeon no matter which one I get. Run it, finish it, everyone is happy, I get my rewards and commendation, the others get to finish their dungeon.

I did read it, and I think you don't quite understand what an abuse or exploit is. An abuse is something that is not intended to be used that way, as in cheating. An exploit is if they are cheating, again, exploiting the roulette would mean they are somehow getting the reward through a way they shouldnt, or something along those lines. If they do it in a full premade group, there is absolutely nothing you can report them for, because they aren't cheating in any way, just deciding to complete only a portion of the dungeon, so you can't report them in a DF group either. What I was saying though, is that it's still very rude, and if they want to play this way they shouldnt use duty finder and expect random groups to follow with it unless everyone agrees. If they're a partially premade group, they are in no way exploiting the roulette, because groups cant queue for roulette and they wouldn't get any kind of bonus reward- they're queuing for a specific dungeon and if someone else got put in through roulette, that's bad luck for them. If they all randomly get in through roulette, well thats just by chance they agree to do it the same way, but they should make sure EVERY member agrees.

It's most likely a (partial) premade group who is repeatedly restarting because they dont need to reach the final boss to accomplish what they need, and its entirely different to someone leaving as soon as the dungeon starts because they dont like it. People are allowed to play that way, they should just be courteous of other people and only do that sort of thing in a full premade group, or a group where everyone agrees to it. If you meant it's one person only who says they're leaving after 2 bosses, then please dont tell me to read carefully because you specifically said the TEAM said that is what they are doing.

I couldn't agree more with the OP, yesterday my Wife was in a DR and the tank left as it started so I did a DF for just that instance with "Join mid-mission" checked, I got in another party that the tank left, after that party I tried again and got in her party, here's what the first party said "Tanks been leaving parties a lot lately" so yeah let the tanks be penalized for leaving early and even give them a 24-48 hour penalty from the hero in need bonus as well.

if the tank decides to AFK the party can vote kick them for AFKing, if the tank AFK's then I'd start the "vote kick" I have no problem voting the asstank out.

I usually leave when I end up 3 or 4 time in a row in a boring instance (like satasha or toto rak) or with another well geared tank in a main story roulette (no point having 2 tanks in CM or praetorium). Not because it's slow, not because of the other players in the group. Just because it's plain boring.

Instead of trying to force people to do boring content that I was already farming 6 month ago with my eyes closed people should ask themselves why players would leave these instances?
