    new dungeon and loot table.

    i'm the only one bothered by the loot table of this three new dungeon?

    i means we have all the darklight+the new set of armor+the crafting mat that drop from the boss.
    it's more of 60 item per chest... insane! 5 armor part for 6 class spe X 2 set of armor (dl and new set) you can add the crafting mat too.

    why not divide the loot between the three dungeon... because right now is ridiculous, i don't want to be the dude that begin the game and want to get him full DL.

    for the one that say it's ok, think at the extreme, you have something like 6-12 item and it's already a pain to get the right one... imagine there.

    Yeah I had similar thoughts.... first I was like... oh Darklight, that makes sense! Then I saw some pieces of the new unique sets and was like.... oh.. darklight and a new set. Then philo mats dropped as well and I was just like 0.o;; That is an insane amount of drop competition if you were actually trying to get a full set of any one particular thing.

    they really need to sort this... more important, decide if the craft mat drop by 1 or 9... but not random like this. we already have enough random in the game, don't need to add more insane RNG there.
    the best idea is to divide the loot by 20 per dungeon. (for the armor) and give craft mat only on the second boss (one of the chest only). for make up, make them drop by 5 all the time, will be a good balance i think.
    indeed people will after sometimes look for one part in one dungeon, but it will still better than this huge mess actually.

    This does need to be sorted. Bosses shouldn't have more then 4 or 5 items on their loot table and ct bosses have like 9. The chances of getting the piece you want is so low people have to run it so often they get burnt out and frustrated. SE still has a lot to learn about making an modern mmo.

    Good subject to bring up too, its pretty much the cause of all the loot rng frustration in the game. Too many items dropping from 1 boss makes it so hard to get what you need.

    You realize the poster child for modern MMO has bosses with similar if not greater amounts of drops per table?

    Force 2 chests per boss(9 bosses total). Have left chest always be mats and right be gear.

    Then sort 2-3 different slots into each boss across 3 dungeons. If there's a need beyond that, just litter them into treasure chests along the dungeon. It's darklight. Who cares if it's easy to get?

    In the older games drop rate was like 1/300, 1/1000/ 1/3000 (depends on item level), means you kill a boss and it drops no equipables, so when the item you need finally drops it feels like a big achievment. But now - oh another darklight, i pass.

    I think this sentence pretty much sums up the argument.

    However, we're talking about i70 gear and crafting mats that might make i70 gear. In a place that drops tomes for both i90 and i100 gear. Who cares about i70 enough to run it repeatedly for that? Nobody.

    If you were talking about best, or near best, in slot for the current expansion then things might be different. Like healers that got coil t1 gloves only after doing it basically every week from 2.0 to 2.2 -- yeah, I've seen that happen.

    Things have changed a lot related to Darklight (and the other ilvl 70 equipment.) I don't know before 2.1 patch, but we have had a time on which obtaining philosophy tomes to buy DL gear was relatively easy, you farmed CT for example for the ilvl80 loot, and at the same time obtained philo (and myth) tomes to buy upgrades. Many people had the full DL set for the alt when the alt reached level 50, since philo tomes came by themselves while capping the myth and you had to spend them if you had 2000 if you didn't want to throw them away.

    New players who start now will find a different place. DL and ilvl70 will be more difficult if you want the full set, but new level 50 players will be able to obtain myth and soldiery tomes who give access to ilvl90 and 100 gear, and CT ilvl80 loot with no weekly limit when they have the level to go there. Before having all ilvl70 people will surely have some 80, 90 or 100 ilvl gear too.
